I have been looking for a good quality free app to help me talk to people. In 2019 I got a tracheostomy done that is probably going to be permanent the rest of my life. Till the pandemic I could talk with a speaking valve but where I live made us go on the ventilators 24/7 and scared me to think if I came off I would be at a higher risk for Covid. So like an idiot I stayed on the ventilator and no I am dependent on it. Talking is very hard with constant air being blown in. So I have been writing everything down. Some things I don’t want wrote down as they are personal. So I seen this the other day and I have been testing it out and omg it is a lifesaver. Living in a long term care facility is hard enough but when you can’t talk it is even harder. I can’t say it is easy with speaking but all I can say that this app can help so many people without a voice have one! Thank you Eric for making such a wonder free, no ads, amazing app for us to use! I highly support this!

My grandma had a stroke in the speech center of her brain. She’s slowly regaining the ability to speak, but it’s been extremely frustrating and difficult. This is the only app that seems to be free, easy to use, and doesn’t have a bunch of unnecessary things. It’s TTS, that’s it, and it’s perfect. It makes me incredibly happy that the developer has made an amazing accessibility app and isn’t charging for it. I’ve tried 7 other apps and they all have a limit to how many messages you can do each day without paying, or have complicated and confusing UI. Thank you Eric, you have given my grandma her voice and her ability to express her needs while she goes through her recovery.
Help for seizures

I have a seizure disorder and one of my side affects is losing my ability to talk for up to 4 hours afterwards. Not a lot of people i communicate with know sign language, so it’s hard to communicate with them. This app has helped me communicate my needs and wants without getting frustrated. I wish it didn’t have a subscription, as I’m homeless, but I understand that it’s either a subscription or ads. Considering the app is a necessity for some people, I wish it was a subscription for like 50 cents a month, or something extremely cheap like that. It would probably get more users to choose this one. Thank you for making this app so I can express my wants and needs after a seizure.

I needed something like this only for a short time for my tonsillectomy recovery. To be able to still communicate with everyone around me that don’t know asl and with my 4 year old who hasn’t learned much sign yet… I can’t imagine how helpful this app is to others who need it more often for whatever is happening in their life. Many other apps have an ad every 2-4 sentences but play right in the middle of a sentence which is disturbingly annoying to deal with mid “conversation” so big shout out to those who made this actually free and available to others!
