This update improves the Crop & Straighten tool. When adjusting the crop rectangle, you can now: • Hold Shift to constrain the crop to its current aspect ratio. • Hold Option to keep the crop centered around the same image position. • Hold both Shift and Option to achieve both effects at the same time.

This update brings the following improvements: • Optimizes the AI enlargement performance and memory consumption • After exporting images, if some images fail, you can now select them with a single button click. This enables you to try different settings quickly and easily. • Minor functionality and user interface updates

This version introduces the high-quality image enlargement using AI. You can now upscale photos to any size up to 800%. AI enlargement takes more time than the regular upscaling algorithm. However, it achieves a much better output image quality. Recommended when enlarging images substantially. To use AI enlargement, add the export action "Resize Advanced". Define a larger size, e.g. 200%. Then select the option "enlarge using AI" under "If image is too small".

• Improved the internal image processing pipeline to generate higher quality output. • The export action "Format" is extended with the color space and bit depth settings. Now images can be exported in color spaces sRGB, Display P3, Adobe RGB 1998, ProPhoto RGB, CMYK, and monochrome. 8-bit and 16-bit color depth. Note that the color space and bit depth availability depends on the image format. • Introduced automatic AI-based image straightening (horizon leveling). • Fixed possible zoom on faces issues in Editor. • Fixed a possible issue with flipped photos rotating in a wrong direction. • Fixed a possible zoom slider inconsistent state in Preview. • Fixed possible Editor rendering issues: an image could in some cases render incompletely.

Improve handling of situations when saved folders disappear or become inaccessible

• Preview can now show an info overlay for every image. With the filename, capture date & time, image dimensions, camera shutter speed, aperture, and ISO speed. • Fixed a possible crash at launch, when the previously saved folders are not accessible any more due to permission changes.

• When exporting images in the JPEG format, you can now define the transparency fill color. JPEG does not support transparency, thus all the transparent areas will be filled with this color. • Fix: The Preview zoom could misbehave with very small images • Fix: Colors defined in presets were not always saved properly • Minor user interface improvements • Stability improvements

Renaming works differently for image files and Library images: - Image files are actually renamed on disk (filename is changed). - Library images keep the new filename in their metadata. It is used e.g. for export. • The new Batch Rename panel makes it possible to rename many images at once. According to a defined rule. • Improve the accuracy of the Browser thumbnails. Some edited images, especially RAW photos, could sometimes show inaccurate colors in Browser. • Improve the speed of loading Browser thumbnails.

Advanced Export: • It is now possible to export every image in multiple sizes and formats. All at once! • New export action for advanced resizing. With a full control over the output size: - Define how to handle the changed image aspect ratio. E.g. crop, deform the image, or add borders of a certain color. - Control alignment of the cropped part, or the image within the extended canvas. - Define how to handle images that are too small for the required size. E.g. enlarge them, add borders, skip, or copy the original image. - Add a filename suffix to the exported images of a certain size. - Export every size to its own folder. • New resizing mode limiting the output image file size, in bytes. Image Editor Improvements: • A way to compare the edited image with the original (before / after). • A quick "zoom on the next face" button. Helps to quickly check human faces. • Quick zoom keyboard shortcuts. Press "Z" or Space to zoom 100%, press it again to fit the complete image. Other Improvements and Fixes: • Reduce the face exposure adjustment applied for "Lighten Faces". Sometimes it made faces too bright, especially for non-RAW images. • Fix: Reading saved face adjustments sometimes failed for Library images. • Fix: Export could fail for Photos Library images that are not available locally (need to be downloaded from cloud).

• Fix: The app could crash or hang when importing multiple image files by dragging them from Finder. • Fix some possible errors when performing batch operations.

• Improve the modal status panel. It can now handle multiple operations. • Fix a possible crash when multiple operations run at the same time. • Minor export resizing improvements.

• User interface improvements. E.g. avoid scrolling the Image Browser to center the active image when unnecessary. • Add the "Fixed width and height" export resizing mode. It can be used to achieve the exact required image size. Crops the image when necessary. • Fix: Sometimes images were incorrectly marked as edited.

• Added menu commands allowing to quickly export images in several popular formats. • Added the option to export original photos with all the Photo Sense settings in metadata. Either within the image (if the format supports it), or in a sidecar XMP file.
