So, I am absolutely in LOVE with Novelist. It’s very well made and the formats are impeccable. When I first saw the app, I was worried and suspected it was too good to be true. All of that changed when I gave it a download. I am an avid author and writing is my passion, so nothing makes me happier than stuff like this. I first went in and it gave me a quick tutorial. Afterward, I clicked on Add A Book and made the title, also choosing a cover. I had just begun the book on Notability, and so I copy pasted it and organized it into the scenes on Novelist. OBSESSED. You can add tags for scenes, characters, locations, props, and more. After planning out my main characters I was shocked and excited about the awesome character building designs. After writing a quick bio I could choose a profile pic, add tags, make RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHER CHARACTERS 🤯, add additional names and notes! I could create locations, props, events, and more. I was stricken with excitement. But let me introduce you to the best thing of all. METADATA.With Metadata I could add physical features, ages, and super in depth stuff without having to write it myself in the synopsis. I am obsessed, and if you are thinking about getting it, stop hesitating.

I just got this app, and I only have one small complaint, but I already love it! I’ve tried so many other writing and note taking apps for novels but this is by far the best one! Problems I’ve had with the other apps I’ve had are some are super laggy, don’t save, you need to pay, it’s super un organized, all the things you DONT want if u wanna write, but Novelist is none of these things! It’s not laggy at all, it saves EVERY time, it’s very organized, it’s easy to understand and use, and the best part, it’s completely free! My only complaint is that I don’t like that I can’t make an account. Id love to use this app on my Chromebook too for when I write Wattpad stories, but I don’t wanna write all my notes down on my phone, then have to do it on my Chromebook too. If you guys could make it so we can make accounts to access our notes on different devices, I’d absolutely love it and I bet so many other people would too. But other then that, it’s an amazing app and something about it makes me feel really productive too!

Underated. It is very good. The ui is visually pleasing, the gestures are intuitive, and the fact that it’s free is unbelievable. The ability to tag things, as well as relationships was very useful. As was the ability to pick colors and a picture thumbnail, making things stand out more. I also like how you can’t just accidentally delete things by swiping and have to actually click inside the three dots to delete them.If you have google drive, you can push the books to and pull them from google drive so that changes are cloud synced. Alternatively, you can actually make this sync everywhere. First of all, get the one drive or drop box or whatever cloud app you want. Next, go to files and keep going back until you reach browse. It should show a bunch of things like on my drive, icloud, recently deleted. If one drive/dropbox/whatever else is not visible, tap the three dots on the top right, hit edit, and then enable it so that it is. Now, whenever you are inside your book in the novelist app, hit the three dots, hit backup, and then in files navigate to where your cloud is and to the folder in your cloud that you want it. It should save the backup as a .nov folder on the cloud.Novelist has a progressive web app, meaning you can access it on any device that supports it online. So on another device, you can hit the 3 dots and hit restore backup, and then upload your cloud backup of your edited book.

I love this app so so much. I love writing but being a very unorganized person typically I often got carried away and forgetful on certain aspects of my stories. When I first downloaded this app after having gotten an add for it I was immediately immersed in the different features it had. The ability to add your own categories and things in said categories all in whatever order you want, having no word limit(that I know of, maybe I just haven’t written enough yet?), and all this stuff; It’s an incredibly helpful app to stay organized. Unfortunately, I can’t quite figure out how to actually write within the app, no matter the tutorials I watch or tips on how to do so. But other than that one small thing, the app is amazing and I would definitely recommend it to any aspiring writers.Edit: Nevermind that last bit, I figured it out. So my point still stands but stands taller. App is amazing, download it. There are literally no downsides to it.
