When connected via Bluetooth LE to the Sound Devices Astral Mini, Astral TX, or Astral HH, Astral Remote offers control and display of the transmitter parameters, including:
• Power on and off the transmitter
• Monitor battery status
• Frequency and RF power setup
• Monitor audio signal presence
• Microphone mute
• Transport controls (Record, Stop)
• Timecode display
• Media formatting and monitoring of remaining space
• Astral Mini, Astral TX, and Astral HH settings (Mode, power options, and more)
• Group control of powering, recording, and more
This can work, and I’m guessing it’s mainly considered to be for use when both TX and RX are present. I find that usually after an initial connection, after recording for a while- especially a long take it becomes very unreliable.
Erratic Bluetooth performance. Unusable for pros.

Talked with tech support. No relief. Randomly loses BT connections with any or all A20-mini and A20-TX transmitters. No rhyme or reason to it. Turning off every other BT device, disabling Nexlink to no avail. EVERY other Bluetooth app including SD-Remote, Wingman, Sidus Audio etc. works perfectly for me except this one. Sound Devices is one fantastic company but this app has big BT problems.
• Changed the application name to Astral Remote
• Added Group NexLink On/Off toggle switch.
