Use this app to discover Volusia County’s beach parks and access points or to find an open vehicle ramp and cruise our beautiful drive-on beaches. Tide and weather forecasts will help you plan your day.
Volusia County Florida Beaches app provides real-time information on beach parks, lifeguard stations, drive-on ramps, access points, and restrooms. Includes detailed information on park features, updates on ramp closures and openings, lifeguard stations, live beach camera streams, weather forecasts, and tide information. Covers all of Volusia County Florida beaches, including Ormond, Daytona, Ponce Inlet, and New Smyrna Beach. GPS enabled devices display distance and direction to beach features, and with one touch, get driving or walking directions using your mobile device.

The beach report used to fully visible with the top line showing the date and time the report was made and all the information showing on the screen so that not much scrolling was required. A few iOS updates ago, the layout changed so that now this screen is zoomed in, the top line showing when the report was made is cut off (important for winter swimmers when reports are not made daily), and you have to scroll left and right as well as up and down to see all the information. At a minimum, the date and time of the condition report should be made visible again. This report and the beach cameras are the sole reason I use this app.

The new 180 cameras never seem to work. They just show a fixed picture with the buffering wheel going around.
Great improvements to the app overall.

But I can no longer sign up for vehicle ramp email notifications on my iPhone. The problem seems to be that the page is too big, yet you cannot scroll it to get to the captcha and submit that are off screen. It works fine on iPad as everything is visible on one screen.
Very helpful

Lots of new beach cams, new info on parking, beach access, life guards, parking spaces. But it’s the beach cams I use the most to check seaweed levels and tides, and to see how crowded/empty the beach is. Thank you!
Tides: the list of tide locations is back, so users can choose any of the seven stations again. The chart still appears above the details, so there's no need to scroll to see it.
Inlet Park alerts: users can now choose which parks they get alerts for, the same way they do for beaches. Lighthouse Point Park and Smyrna Dunes Park each have their own bell in Alert Notifications. Until now, anyone with Beach Alerts turned on was getting every park opening and closing by default. That stops once users update.
Inlet Parks screen: the screen still shows current openings and closures for everyone, whether or not alerts are turned on.
