“Obootaar the speaking elephant” or “obo” is a platform for audio storytelling and listening in different Indian languages. It enables the voice recording of short audio stories. Storytellers will be able to connect and collaborate with peers and create albums of short stories. Albums can also be created by inviting peers to add to the stories in the album. The app provides the storytellers the option to categorise stories under different genres, create groups with peers and publish stories which may be in public or private mode. Audio feedback for albums aims to enhance the storytelling experience with peers and groups.
Obo encourages storytellers to give credit to the source of their stories.
Story creators can also upload short videos, images, sketches to enhance the storytelling experience.

Users have the option to record and publish stories as professionals and monetise their creations. The events conducted on this platform will have the option to be recorded and saved.
