Connecting with Others

Relay is a great way to find a group to connect with others who deal with the same issues. Porn addiction is an issue that most people try to battle alone. And it’s hard to find people who are willing to work together on curbing the addiction because most people who use porn have no intention of stopping. It’s such a normalized and mainstream habit, so it can be challenging to connect with others who also are trying to quit the addictive behavior. This app also provides content to help work on the core issues behind addiction. I personally enjoyed having access to a group that I could talk to about this stuff and get vulnerable with. I don’t believe this app replaces therapy but it certainly helps you work on the core issues behind your addiction and connect with others who are dealing with the same issues. I was amazed to talk with people who had similar struggles which helped me greatly.

It has challenged me to think about things I might not have before and given me information that is new to me. I have even shared with people some of what I have learned that has helped me and in the process it has helped them as well. I truly believe the app is one of God’s answers to my prayers. It’s one more step in the right direction. Before using Relay, a lot of times I would get so frustrated because I wanted answers and help but felt like the right kind of answers and help would never come. When I heard about Relay I thought I would give it a try because I thought it could help me. When I first started I didn’t realize how much help it would be. I’m finding it more and more helpful the further I go along.
