Laveer – Your Self-Discovery Guide
Some days you act against your own values without realizing it. You make decisions you later regret. You misjudge people. You fall for the same patterns. Laveer helps you see why - and change it.
Laveer is a guided self-discovery app that helps you understand who you are, what you actually value, and how to make decisions you're proud of. Not through generic affirmations or mood tracking - but through structured reflection that draws on centuries of human wisdom, made practical for everyday life.
WHAT YOU'LL DISCOVER
Most people go through life reacting. Laveer helps you start choosing - deliberately, clearly, and with real self-awareness.
Uncover your core values - not the ones you think you have, but the ones that actually drive you
Identify your personal virtues and where you're living by them (or not)
Recognize the biases and mental shortcuts that quietly shape every decision you make
Understand the people around you better - their motivations, their fears, their reasoning
Think more clearly by learning to spot manipulation, logical traps, and self-deception before they take hold
Make decisions you can stand behind — even the hard ones
THIS ISN'T THERAPY. IT'S SELF-KNOWLEDGE.
Laveer isn't about feeling better in the moment. It's about becoming someone who handles moments better. Each session is a short, guided conversation - part reflection, part challenge - designed to surface something real about how you think and who you're becoming.
The questions are drawn from the same traditions that shaped the world's most resilient, clear-headed thinkers. Stoics who led empires. Philosophers who rewired how we see reality. Psychologists who mapped the mind. We've made their methods approachable, honest, and surprisingly direct.
WHO IT'S FOR
You don't need a crisis to use Laveer. You need curiosity and a little courage.
You've made the same mistake twice and want to understand why
You feel like you're living someone else's version of your life
You want to make a big decision and trust yourself to get it right
You suspect your thinking has blind spots you can't quite name
You want to understand the people around you - not just tolerate them

I initially wrote a negative review regarding an issue I had with a refund for the subscription. I was not able to cancel my trial period before the subscription went through and unfortunately due to Apple’s policies, I wasn’t able to receive a refund despite not using the app after the payment went through. I reached out to the developers who were very helpful and we were able to come to a resolution despite the issue with Apple’s policies. I am looking forward to exploring the app a bit more since I was very impressed with it during my trial. As someone who is a big supporter of incorporating stoic and philosophical ideas into my life, I think this is a great tool to get you thinking about life through a different perspective.

Dear Karmirr,First and foremost, I am terribly sorry you've encountered this situation. As mentioned in our emails, we have no direct control over Apple's refund decisions, as these are subject to their own policies.Nonetheless, letting our users down is our worst nightmare and we are as eager as you are to resolve this. Please check your email for some suggestions on how we might help you. I apologize again and hope for a swift resolution.Best regards,Sophia from Alter Ego
I’m amazed!

I can’t say enough great things about this app! First the journeys that discover new thoughts and ideas really helped me to broaden my values and virtues! They offer insight to help with modern day issues and make you question your actions and values. The chat feature is INSANE. I can really converse with Socrates and it’s not static and boring. The chat feature also goes by the way the philosopher would actually communicate. I’m amazed that I can actually learn from talking to an ai, but it feels like I’m really talking to the person. It feels really personal which stuns me. I’m really grateful for the developers for making this great app! I wish the best of luck to y’all!

Daily Session Crash + Lockout
Mike Mongeau
I like this app, but I think I would love it if on several occasions, I've had the daily session essentially just crash and way before the time is up (maybe a minute or a couple of minutes in). I don't even realize this. I'm just kind of mid-thought speaking and then I have to wait a whole another 24 hours before doing it again. I don't like the fact that it's locked out to 24 hours from the last time I did it. It should just be a reset at midnight every night, and then I can choose when to do it during the next day. Some nights I do it earlier and some nights I can't do it later. On the nights that I do it later, I hate that I'm then locked to the later portion of the day. It doesn't make any sense. Devs get it together, change the reset period and stop crashing during the daily conversations. Also please add Ayn Rand as a philosopher.

This app is amazing! Excellent interface. What I like most is how it takes philosophical ideas and makes them easy to understand. Also, the list of philosophers is incredible, from classical Stoics like Marcus Aurelius and Epictetus to moderns like Kierkegaard and Frankl to Ben Franklin and Lao Tsu. The journaling prompts are thought provoking, and the classic art is wonderful just by itself. Stoicism is a philosophy that’s meant to be lived, and this app is structured perfectly for just that. I’ve tried all of the stoic and journaling apps, and this one is my favorite. Kudos for the developers for doing an excellent job!! Highly recommended!!
