Fin gives you access a network of outdoor recreational equipment including kayaks and bikes that are placed where you need it and thats available when you want to use it. DOWNLOAD THE APP. Create an account, the app is your guide to the location of rentable outdoor equipment, such as kayaks & bikes, and is your key to unlock them. SCAN TO UNLOCK. Each piece of equipment has a QR code. Scan the code with your Fin app to unlock your equipment. The app will track your location & the duration of your rental. EXPLORE. Get out there! Explore the water or the trail. Experience the outdoors as it was made to be enjoyed! EASY RETURN. Return your equipment back to a location specified within the app. Re-lock and snap a picture, it’s that easy! Fin will automatically charge your card for the amount due for the rental.

1st Kayak rental! Highly Recommend!

Easy access and paddle and life vest included. Water was beautiful and an area I had never explored and only 25 min from home. Thanks Fin will definitely use again. My only recommendation is to store kayaks upside down to keep dirt and debris down.

Confusing instructions; no real-time support

I rented a bike on the Wilmington Riverfront. The first bike I tried didn’t work so I submitted a support ticket for my $10 fee. The second bike did work. The directions on the bike said to park in a bike spot and lock the back wheel. I made sure I was within the geofence area and parked my bike at bike rack, then locked it—I thought to end my ride. Instead, the app refused to end my ride because I wasn’t at a designated spot (apparently the original rack only) and provided no options to unlock the bike. I submitted a ticket. Concerned, I called the number in the app and on the bike three times, several minutes apart. Each time, it told me it was sending me to support and placed me on hold. Each time, it unceremoniously disconnected while I was on hold. I never received a support ticket response. With the bike locked, I had no option to return it back to the start, and the app is continuing to charge my card. Without live support options—or clear directions—renter beware.Update: got a call back from customer support. At the moment there’s only one person that is handling customer support calls. He called me back and stopped the clock running on my rental. They also reversed my $10 non-working rental.

The app was simple yet efficient. Quick check in and check out process. Affordable pricing for 3 hours we paid just $40 per bike. The bikes were in a good condition. The riverside path and around the Wilmington was phenomenal!
