Shops can list what they do, not just what they sell — and most of them need no paperwork to start. A barber, a tailor, a shoe repairer or a laundry can put their work up for booking the moment the platform switches services on for them. Also in this update: • Each kind of shop is offered the trades it actually does. A salon sees haircuts and beauty work; a garage sees vehicle servicing. Neither is offered the other's list. • The few trades that genuinely need a licence say so when you pick them, name the certificate and say who issues it — before you have typed a price. • If a certificate lapses, only that trade pauses. Everything else you offer stays bookable, your prices are kept, and appointments already in your diary stand.

Status is now its own tab. See what shops near you are showing today, swipe up for the next shop, like what you like, and save a clip you want to keep. Watching statuses earns you points. Search now understands what you call things — "nyama choma" finds the ribs, "barber" finds the salon. Book a service: pick a time, pay a deposit, keep the slot. Shops can list one product in every colour and size, and say which days they open. On a laptop the app now fills the window.

Pictures that were missing have come back. Photos of products, shops, stays and experiences that showed as blank squares were never reaching your phone — nothing was wrong with your connection, and it is fixed. Photos you send go up first time. A parcel photo, or a prescription at checkout, used to be refused when your camera saved a large one; your phone now resizes it before sending, so it arrives even on a slow connection — and one photo that will not go no longer stops the rest. Some things can now be bought with points alone. Where a product, stay or experience is priced that way you will see "Buy with 500 points" beside the normal price — take either, and the points ones lead the Hot Deals on your home screen. A payment prompt that fails now means nothing was taken and no order was placed. Send the prompt again from the same screen or from My orders, and closing it keeps everything in your cart. Search has a Discover tab, and shops, brands, stays and experiences can post short clips — watch one, then buy straight from the picture. Plus fixes and speed-ups throughout.

Status is here. Outlets can now post photos and short clips of what they're selling today — tap the ring on an outlet to watch, and buy what you see straight from the picture. Posts disappear after a week. Also in this update: • Fingerprint and Face ID sign-in has its own setup step now, and you can skip it if your phone won't play along. • Pickup orders are paid in the app, so yours is ready and waiting when you walk in. • Totals come out in whole shillings — no stray cents. • You can edit your name from your profile. • Faster start-up, and pictures that load instantly the second time around.

• See what your rider is arriving on — make, colour and number plate. • Deliveries reach a rider faster, so your order gets picked up sooner. • Notifications show unread first and clear in one tap. • Back now goes back one step, and every screen tells you where you are. • Approve cash-outs with Face ID or your fingerprint. • The app lets you know when a newer version is available.

Fixes a crash that closed the app shortly after signing in on Android. Notifications now work properly on both Android and iPhone, so you hear about an order, a delivery or a message as it happens instead of only when you next open the app.

Shops are now Outlets — because not every place you buy from is a shop. Every outlet shows what kind of place it is (grocery, chemist, restaurant, hardware and more), and you can filter your search by category to find exactly the kind of outlet you need. Also: send a product straight into a chat, edit or delete a message you've sent, set messages to disappear, and browse photo galleries on products, stays and experiences.
