Didn't expect to catch cats in a claw machine, did you? Catch them and they're yours! Huh? Do these cats have their own personalities and jobs? There are also tons of decorations, souvenirs, and snacks, such as strawberry pudding, macarons, boba milk tea... There are so many yummy snacks! I wonder what it'll be like when the house is filled with them?
I have tried many of these genre of pet-collective and cute rpgs, but the free mobile game platform fails to make these genre feel complete. However, with Purrfect Tales this is not the case. There is an interactive story that is surprisingly encapsulating, although it is nothing spectacular, it is really enjoyable and let’s you get attached to the characters of the game. The cat collecting aspect is just like you will see in other games, though it is a slow development of collecting cats, I believe this is a good thing because it keeps you interested in the game and your screen is not cluttered. In terms of the ads and ad-related rewards, I find this game to be fairly appropriate in that respect. They are not spamming you with ads and the ads are not mandatory for an enjoyable experience. The only thing I think this game can improve upon is the content. I was able to complete the content in the game within 1 day. I binged it, to be fair, and I am eagerly awaiting act 2 as I really enjoy the story (which is not something I can say for any other mobile game I have played). Though I do understand this is something that really takes time and effort to complete, especially with the interactive elements of the story. If you are thinking of getting this game, you will be pleasantly surprised with how good it is. I would recommend this to anyone who likes these kind of game, I believe it’s among the best of the genre.

I wasn’t really sure what kind of game this would be from the preview images on the Apple Store. It seemed kind of like a romance, decorate your house type game? Turns out there’s a lot more to it! From what I have discovered so far, the game doesn’t have to be romantic at all depending on how you interpret it. In one part of the game, you rescue a stray cat who can also turn into a human. You obviously become close friends, there’s a lot of complimenting back and forth, and some blushing, but if you would rather consider the cat-human your friend it is very easy to. The game allows you to buy furniture to decorate your house, clothes and accessories, and other things with in-game currency. You can post pictures on this fake social media site limited to the game that no one else can see. Throughout the stories you take pictures of cute/cool moments and write a little caption. Your in-game mom and cats usually comment on your posts but that’s it. You can also have “friends”. I’m not sure if they are real people or bots created for the game’s social media, but you cannot speak with them, you can only give them gifts and receive gifts. You can watch 30 second ads to get extra hearts and cod (currency) if you feel like.Otherwise I don’t think there are too many ads. If you want to focus on decorating your home, this game is perfect for you! If you care more about the relationships with your cats, this game has plenty of that! If you just want to follow a story with an adorable art style, purrfect tale has that, too.

Not sure why the game at first refused to go beyond the initial loading screen however after a few hours I returned to this app to try one last time- WHICH I’m so glad I did!! This is by far the most interactive story based game I’ve played despite the ads. Fantastic art to go with this lovely game and its many minigames. I wish the movement needed to wash your cat was a bit more different from the petting motion but thats just preference. No game breaking problems Ive encountered so far but there were Issues such as WeCat initially not triggering when I decorated the house or changed outfit items or random parts of text shifting between its translated(English) version and original. You get the best of both worlds with a great heartfelt story to follow along, cute pets, art(the art and lil animations alone are absolutely ADORABLE to admire), AND outfits for your character. Although at first sometimes it can be confusing how to move certain items in the story version, once figured out it’s easy to go through without hints or text to help. The claw machine, as all claw machines do will test your willingness to exist sometimes but all the items/cats are worth it by the end. There’s a lot of attention to detail which I appreciate, it gives players another reason to slow down for a sec and really look at the items- which are all adorable from foods/drinks to the furniture/clothes. Overall, needs a few tweaks but a fantastic game worth your time if you like animals, stories, or ‘cutesy’ themes.

All I can say for this game is, wow. It has absolutely surpassed all of my expectations and I have to say that this game has been the most entertaining mobile game I’ve ever downloaded. Not only is there a great story line, but there are so many things to do. There is a journal in which you follow a story of a young girl dealing with the struggles of getting older and becoming more self sufficient. I absolutely love the chapters and I adore the fact that the developers wanted to bring light to some serious topics. They emphasize how self care is very important and I think that is a beautiful message to have on a game platform! There is also a claw machine which can capture capsules to unlock furniture items, clothing, food, and even tickets. These tickets can then be used to unlock places to “stroll.” There are always frequent events to participate in about every month or so. I also really love the fact that the ads are completely optional and you can completely enjoy the in-game experience without being bombarded by ads! Personally, I’ve always liked games in which you could collect items and this game is perfect for that. You can decorate your house with many adorable furniture items and every dress up other characters you unlock! Another thing I absolutely adore is that you can add friends on here and even visit their house! This makes the game so much more fun because I can go see what my friends are up to or share my crops with them. All in all, this game is perfect for me and it seemed to be made for me. I DEFINITELY recommend getting this game.
