Amazing app for Urban Exploration

If you’re looking for a simple way to find abandoned locations with tons of history in your area, this is the way to go in terms of using the internet. The more places you explore, the more that you unlock and that’s a feature I haven’t found (that works so well) on any other app before. This should have existed years ago! The app is even so polished, and I hardly ever find issues with it since I’ve started using it. I really appreciate that other users can upload their own images and messages along with their exploration to let people know about the ins and outs of certain areas. I’ve already been to so many locations I didn’t even know existed in my area, and the community is really thriving in NYC. My only complaint would have to be (I’m assuming) that you have to upload your memos while you’re still by the building! I took my photos of the location, and it was only when I got home I realized I hadn’t uploaded any images to the location. I went all the way there and couldn’t get my points for it or upload the photos I took, so I might have to drive back at a later point just to get them. A bit of a bummer but that’s just a good thing to know prior to leaving the area. I understand it as it helps make sure people aren’t just uploading memos from previous Urbexing experiences and ensures that they’re actually visiting the location. Overall, an amazing app and gives so much freedom and leeway to the Urbexing community. I can see this being the reason a lot of people pick it up as a hobby, and probably will be the first Urbexing experience for newbies as a whole. Very cool. Please always continue to update this. I see this being just as big as Geocaching in the future with more advertising and hardware updates!

Thank you! Yes, we made it a requirement to be at the spot to create a memo, it's more authentic and also useful info for other explorers that someone has recently visited the place for real. You can still upload photos to the gallery, but yeah to get points to the memo you need to post it while you're there. We'll come up with other ways to contribute though:)Thank you for the kind wishes, we'll keep working hard to bring the best experiences we can to the community!

Hats off to the creators of such an amazing app. This is such an amazing way to bring people together who really enjoy urban exploring when I downloaded the app, I figured I’d take a chance at it and see what it was about and what I found was way more than I expected. I can’t wait to post some very awesome locations that I know and I hope that this app finds so many more people that have the passion to get out and appreciate the past and forgotten, the beautiful and the broken, and the travels less traveled. Seriously thank you creators!!! I hope this finds you one thing I think that you think about adding is a way to make a post board for comments and questions about the location not so much a way to contact the person who found the location but maybe a way to ask Q@A or offer a friendship because I’d love to meet up with some local explorers so I’m not going into some areas alone lol, Thank you your friend!

Thank you!!!! Seeing this kind of feedback makes all the work and struggle we put into this worth it:) I think the comments under the locations are very similar to what you're describing, they're very basic for now but we're planning to add comment replies and similar features to make it easier to ask questions and connect/meet up with other explorers. I think you'll like it once we get there to add those features:) And if you have other stuff you'd like to see in the app, just send us an email to info@ecven.com any time. Thank you again ♥♥

Great but two problems

I’ve been using this app for a couple months now and it’s really been great learning about all these new locations and getting the chance to travel to new places and explore parts of the past. There’s two problems. 1: it only lets you add “confirmed location within like a mile of ur current location which isn’t fair because it has no way of knowing where I have and havnt been. Second: IT SIGHNS BE OUT AND BACK IN! this happens 3/4 times and I literally have to power off and on my entire phone to TRY and fix this problem. It’s so frustrating trying to locate something just to be hit with a (reconnecting). Please update and thank you.

Developer Response
We'll definitely improve the connection handling! You should never need to restart your whole device to make it work though, if you want we can help and dig into this, just drop us an email to info@ecven.com:) And for memos, you're right, we cannot know where you have and haven't been, memos are mostly there to show people how actively and recently a location has been explored - it's something that's pretty useful to know. We'll be adding a separate feature where you can mark places as visited or as favorite just for yourself, that's going to be something completely separate from memos!

I think that this app is so creative and outgoing. It encourages adventure which I think is so important, especially in this day and age. As somebody who already had a lot of locations, this app is so useful and informative. To contribute what you have and see what you can get out of it is so smart and helpful. My friends and I have made many memories on new adventures that were made possible by this platform. I think it’s really cool how one can unlock locations special to their specific area. The fact there is a discord server for HazeExplr too is so neat. I can really appreciate people in the urbex community that take their time to make such a meaningful platform like this one!!

Thank you, we put a ton of work into the app so this means a lot🫶

- Private Tags: you can mark locations as favorite, visited, hide spots you don't find interesting, and more. Fully customizable to whatever you need;) - Invite friends: you can now invite friends, and you both get extra spots. This feature is reserved for higher levels, to keep the community tight;) - We added the ability to leave comments with your memos! - And tons of smaller things...this was the biggest release we've ever done, hope y'all like it!
