The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) works for a world where every pregnancy is desired and every birth is safe. AMBER is an application developed by UNFPA Turkey for women for a healthy and safe life.
AMBER enables the monitoring of menstrual and ovulation cycles, helps planned pregnancies, and shares information about reproductive health. AMBER also includes features that promote women's safety. With AMBER, women can track their location, send an emergency message, and call the emergency hotline in cases where they do not feel safe. They can define situations that threaten their security at home or outside because of their gender, make a risk assessment and security plan, keep a diary, access information on the subjects they need, learn the institutions and addresses they can get support from, and find answers to their questions. AMBER provides the necessary information and support for women to lead a healthy and safe life, not only to women, but also to groups such as health workers and social workers who provide services to women.
