The app draws on evidence-based psychological approaches and research conducted by Phoenix Australia at the University of Melbourne. Any information entered into SOLAR-FRNSW is completely confidential and will not be shared with Fire and Rescue NSW or anyone outside the research and development team. The skills in SOLAR-FRNSW are practical, quick, and easy to learn, taking just a few minutes a day. Users can work through the program at their own pace, when it is convenient for them, and choose the parts of the program that are most relevant to their needs. The program includes strategies to help users manage strong emotions, build healthy habits, improve relationships, manage unhelpful thoughts, and cope with difficult experiences. SOLAR-FRNSW is free to download and use, and there are no advertisements.
