A2N Hymnal is a simple, beautiful hymnal for iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Over 120 classic hymns, each with its full lyrics and a recording to sing along with. Everything is built into the app, so it works anywhere, with no internet connection and nothing to download.
SING
• Lyrics are set like a printed hymnal: each sung line stands on its own, and long lines wrap with an indent so you never lose your place.
• Make the text bigger or smaller to suit your eyes.
• Refrains stand out, so you always know when to come back to the chorus.
• Author, composer and tune are listed with every hymn.
LISTEN
• Every hymn with a recording plays right from the lyrics page.
• Keep listening while you browse other hymns, or with your screen locked.
• Repeat a hymn to learn it, or skip back and forth 15 seconds.
FIND
• Browse A–Z, or jump straight to a letter.
• Search titles and lyrics. Remember a line but not the name? Search for it.
• Star your favorites to keep them at the top of the list.
• Christmas hymns are marked, and can be hidden outside the season.
MORE
• On iPad and Mac, the list and lyrics sit side by side.
• Light and dark mode.
• Free, with no ads and no account.
All included music is royalty-free and copyright-free.
I have downloaded and reviewed at least six other hymnals. This is my go to when I want to find songs to play on my guitar. There are a couple of things that really stand out about this application. Number one, is the simple interface without a lot of complications. Number two, is the outstanding high quality piano accompaniment to some of the Hymns. Number three, is the attribution to the writer and composer. Number four, is the number of songs I am familiar with most of them favorites. Number five, is the absence of self promotion and advertising. WYSIWYG. Big kudos and a hearty thank you to the creator of this app. God bless you, I pray that you can do more when time allows.
Thank you!

Thank you for this gift — I can use this for any family and home and small group gathering even though I can’t play piano. Thank you!

Thank you so much! So easy to access hymns without any ads. Would it be possible to have a section to submit new hymn requests? Appreciate all of the effort poured into this app!
Great app

The only thing that would make it better is if there in an instrumental accompaniment for each hymn that we could play and sing along to.
Developer Response
Thank you very much for your feedback jchou12345, will definitely implement this in a future release.
• Repeat is now on the player bar at the bottom of the screen, so you can loop a hymn without opening the full player.
• Chinese lyrics for two more hymns: At the Cross and Moment by Moment.
