I enjoy this word search puzzle so much that I’ve literally sat for hours on end working the puzzles out. It’s a bigger than a lot of the other word search puzzles offered on the App Store but not so big that you lose interest in working it. I’ve work in the puzzles several years and not had a duplicate puzzle yet.I did take a break for a couple of months. When I came back, their format changed that I’m not sure I’m overly wild about. The old format contained words that I was more familiar with. This new version has many with words that are totally out of my league. The other day, I had cities in Australia which I tried but gave up on. There were only a few words that I even had heard of. That, like several other puzzles I’ve tried on the new version of the game, frustrated the heck out of me. But, they are challenging and I’m learning something new. The only other complaint I have is that you can’t highlight the word backwards, only in the correct order of spelling. When I find a word whether backwards or forwards, I want to be able to highlight it in the moment. Period. Other than these couple of irritants, I love the puzzle and won’t change to another one at this time.

I have requests can you please add word search modes options to make it more fun and difficult for example instead of highlighting the word in just a circle I highlight the word in different shapes that goes in different directions for example L shapes U shapes O shapes or highlighting the word in a free draw and please adds an option for instead of having letters for the word search I have numbers or colors or shapes of emojis and different design figures and and please add an option for music and please add an option for sound effects and please add an options for animation when I completed a word search and when I do a word search and please add options to change the color of the letters of the word search and please have a custom puzzle size you can type in the number starting at 10x10 to 50x50 and please have an option to change the color of the background and import a picture of the background of the word search and wordSoup application

I have not had this game very long so not sure if I can properly rate it. I have a few concerns; the top being no support or help links under settings on the game itself. When I tried the App Store for a link for the developer or support, I received a box warning about security risks so I will just address my concerns here. I play this game against myself so I enjoy the timer and trying to beat my fastest time; glad there is an option for those who prefer a slower less stressful game. I am just curious if timer stops when last word is found or when the game finishes filling in the “mystery word” at bottom with the remaining unused letters. Waiting on the game to fill in the blocks can be long potentially adding seconds to the timer. I also agree with others that this game repeats same words over and over. In some categories there are related words I never see while others appear in every grid. I do wish there were more categories; not a fan of just general word lists. Overall the game is fun if word search is what you like…simple and easy to play and does not contain all the bells and whistles, fluff, add-ons, and aids that get in my way; there is just a bit too much repetition.

So I was enjoying this puzzle until I came to a slur used in a puzzle that had no place being there. The word was the homophobic slur rhyming with maggot. It was used in the “food and beverages” themed puzzle. I know that words have different meanings and I looked up the definition; “a bundle of sticks or twigs bound together as fuel”. What does that have to do with food and drinks? NOTHING. I think it was stuck in there by a hateful developer. I’m asking everyone to give this app a bad review and delete it immediately.
