I used to use VLC Player for my mac to do the same thing but VLC hasn't aged well. Certain videos were not getting color right and looked faded. Tried this app out and fixed my problems. I use Pro Tools and use this video app in the background and it doesn't seam to cause any issues which is also fantasic.One request I have is that I'd like to be able to select more than one video at a time in the local wallpaper section. Having to import each one indevidually is a bit of a hasle but not a big deal in the grand scheme.

I really loved the wallpapers in this app! & they’re super cute, unique, and exactly the kind of aesthetic I was looking for to make my Mac feel special. I genuinely wanted this to be a long-term app for me.Unfortunately, I started having major system issues after installing it. The app kept running a background process that wouldn’t shut off, and it was putting a constant load on my graphics resources even when I wasn’t using the app. After a while, it actually broke my system audio, and the only way to fix it was to manually delete the app and the files it installed in my Library folders.I don’t normally leave reviews, but I got my computer by an absolute miracle, and I’m sure many other people are just like me… they want to make their computer look amazing without risking damage or weird system problems. This app has so much potential because the wallpapers themselves are great, but something is definitely going wrong with how it uses the GPU and background services.I hope the developer can fix that issue, because I would honestly try this app again if it ran safely. Until then, I had to uninstall it.

The app works as described but there are some things I really do not like and must be stated.1. After purchasing the app, I still have advertisements for other apps made by the developer. These advertisements appear in a banner on the bottom left, just below the Clarity apply button. It cycles through all the apps made by the developer and clicking on them points to the appstore page for that app. There is no way to turn this off.2. The clarity filter options "all" and "UHD" are suppoused to filter resolution of the retrieved wallpapers as either those only in UHD resolution or all resolutions. This would have been a neat way to filter out results that will not look good on my monitor simply because there is no way to render a 1980 by 1080 video that is compressed is poorly optimized into a 4k or 5k display. Instead the button does nothing to filter the results. This section is poorly desgiend. Instead of radio buttons it should offer check boxes to select various formats/resolutions.3. The search box to look for wallpapers only allows an input of 10 characters. I am not sure why this limitation exists. It should allow for a longer search entry to accomodate more key words and better results.4. The local wallpaper section is the only reason I purchased this specific live wallpaper app over the competitors. However, it is dissapointing that when importing videoes, there is no options to adjust playback speed or any type of editing tools for the imported file. There should be at least options to crop or stretch video file.5. I really hope the developer addresses these issues and continues to improve the app. With these small issues fixed I think it could be the #1 live wallpaper app.

They have really listened and added more wallpapers with Tech themes. The app is work appropriate when need be and I can save the ones I like for download, choose my own to upload. Downloading to my desktop or mobile device is easy, and I can even use the downloaded DWP for as screen savers (easy to setup), and/or use my own videos, trim them and do the same. Flexibility is key here. System updates are frequent and so are content updates. Great app!!!!! Keep up the great work.
