You need the $2 upgrade to get the markup tools. BUT, you need an additional $8 to get undo! Really they could have included undo in the $2 package. It is way too easy to miss the target with the highlighting tool, so including Undo with the highlighting option seems like a natural package deal.The only feature it's missing from the MS Snipping Tool in windows is the ruler, which allows you to extremely easily make straight lines with the highlighting marker tool.Otherwise, it's a good tool, but $10 for the full package when it's included with Windows makes me sad.

Clipboard tools for screen snips on your Mac can be incredibly useful, but problematic as well. I have dealt with one-offs using a different app for years and just switched to Snip My recently. Throughout my work day, I have to send proofs to customers and co-workers for many items, so selecting a portion of my screen to send snips from efficiently is vital to my productivity. This app allows me to snip sections - even freeform sections - then add text, colors, highlighting - all the things you want to make things stand out when communicating. The last app I used had a feature for a keyboard shortcut to activate the screen snipping tool - if this app had that, it would absolutely be a 5 star review! Otherwise, the editing tools, screen selection, delays - all of it are great! Please add (or educate me on where the keyboard shortcut can be found) and I’d be happy to up this to a 5 star!

Right now I am using Snipping Tool for a huge project and need to collect a ton of images and designs for market and resarch development across various platforms for our ccorporations app and sales channel devleopment. I find it very easy to get ideas for strategies, templates, workflows, and iformation to recreate later using the snipping tool It is easy to use, easy to save images, and I have used it for about 6 years, both in and out of a variety of office settings.
General functionality good, side things can use some tweaking

The overally functionliaty of the tool is good. It is easy and intuitive. The only reason I am not giving it a higher rating is because of a couple of other things that are frankly annoying, especially from a paid version. Specifically, I shouldn't be prompted to provide a review over and over again, and the skip doesn't really even work for it. Also, I upgraded to a paid version so I can have the undo option, but...every time I use that function, it prompts me to upgrade to use it...and shows I have already upgraded. So I have to try several times just to get it to work.
This new version:
• Introduces SprayCan Tool: add lifelike spray paint texture to your snips
• Resolves a bug that could prevent text annotations from saving in certain cases
• Updates Highlighting experience: by user request, the highlighter now tracks the ruler more naturally for straighter strokes
