We’ve made the messaging and audio in route navigation a little smoother.

We’ve made Questlog a little clearer, smoother, and easier to use. Search results have been improved for better accuracy, helping you find more relevant Quests and users. Intro hints now appear a bit sooner, so new users are less likely to miss helpful guidance during the introduction. We’ve also cleaned up some unnecessary introduction text now that the hint system can guide users more naturally. In Settings, language options are now easier to find under “Display & Language”. This update also includes general bug fixes and small improvements to keep Questlog running smoothly.

1. Introducing Route Navigation. You can now navigate from your current location to new places on the map. Choose your preferred way to get there: walking, cycling, or driving. Want a little help along the way? You can also enable audible directions. We’ve also improved the map experience itself. The map now supports an angled view, making navigation feel more natural and spatial. Geofences are now rendered directly on the map in a way that visually fits the 3D perspective, so Quest areas feel more connected to the world around them. 2. A New Mini Map Experience. When you open a Quest, the mini map on GPS Quests gently moves around the location with a subtle orbit effect, almost like a tiny drone shot. As soon as you interact with the map, it switches back to a regular top-down view, giving you full control. 3. A More Modern Quest Sheet. The Quest list tile on the map now works more naturally. You can swipe it upward to view more details without opening a separate screen. This keeps you connected to the map while exploring, and gives the app a more modern, fluid feel. We’ll continue bringing this type of swipe-based interaction to more parts of Questlog in future updates. 4. Smarter Location Tracking. We’ve made major improvements to location efficiency, both in the foreground and in the background. Questlog now uses location data much more intelligently, especially when you’re not near active Quest areas. This should significantly reduce battery usage while still keeping the core Quest experience reliable. 5. Helpful Intro Hints. We’ve added new hint effects to the introduction screen. If you pause for a moment and aren’t sure what to do next, Questlog can gently point you in the right direction. You can also activate these hints yourself, making the introduction more playful and easier to follow. 6. And More. This update also includes several map improvements, visual refinements, and bug fixes to make Questlog feel smoother, clearer, and more reliable.

We’ve improved the floating category filter bar below the search bar, re-introducing the Relevant view with better stability and a refined order. We’ve also added an All option, so you can easily explore every Quest in an area. Your selected category now stays visible when returning to the app. The app now centers on your location when launching or resuming (if location data is available), while keeping full manual control over the map during use. We also fixed an issue in the timeline where some friend completions could disappear, and improved the appearance of category icons on map markers.

We’ve introduced floating main category filters below the search bar in both map and list view, making it easier to quickly switch between categories like food and drinks without unnecessary clutter. On Android, we’ve significantly improved the behavior of the physical back button, which previously showed inconsistent navigation. This update also includes a number of smaller fixes and performance improvements.

We’ve made major improvements to notifications, which now reliably deep link into the app and open the correct screens, making the overall experience much more consistent. Quests are now more dynamic, with sub-objectives updating in real time while you view them, so no more manual refresh is needed. We’ve also improved the location experience with better map centering and a consistently visible location indicator to help you stay oriented. Navigation and interaction have been refined: re-tapping tabs now scrolls to the top and refreshes content, the timeline behaves more smoothly, and issues when logging out or switching accounts have been resolved. Search is now more stable and no longer throws errors when typing quickly. On the social side, we’ve added a “follow request accepted” notification with its own setting and corrected relationship labels. The “Discover” tab has been renamed to “List” as part of upcoming feature expansions, and list content has been adjusted to offer more variety and direct accessibility. We’ve also improved onboarding visuals with clearer guidance and fixed safe area issues on certain devices. As always, this update includes various bug fixes and performance improvements.

You now have the option to remove a follower, and also recently searched phrases. In addition, there are some UI/UX improvements on social relationships, completed Quest comparison, introduction onboarding tasks, and Quest completion flows (especially with completing Scan Quests). We've fixed some small bugs in location permission screens, bottom navigation bar, and the black fade that could cover your bottom navigation bar.
