Anesthesia Touch
Documentation and Records
Free
Anesthesia Touch™ is a medical record-keeping application that streamlines the creation of anesthesia documentation. It can be configured to meet the needs of a broad spectrum of anesthesia environments including office-based surgery settings, ambulatory surgery centers, community hospitals, and academic medical centers.
Anesthesia Touch™ is built around the unique documentation needs of the perioperative environment:
- Quickly create legible, comprehensive documents to support patient care and billing
- Easily record medications, fluids, and blocks with a flexible, purpose-built interface
- Get reminders to support new documentation practices and to add needed information
- Use the iPad's camera to append supporting images to documents, such as Nerve Blocks or PreOp Evaluations
- Automatically capture streaming physiologic data to record vital signs (requires separate transmitter connected to patient monitors)
- View and send patient records via your facility's configured interfaces, including the facility schedule and outbound billing (requires interfaces with Anesthesia Touch)
Common anesthesia documents include the following:
- PreOp Evaluation
- Anesthesia Consent
- Nerve Block Documentation
- Procedure Notes
- Anesthesia Record
- Transfer Checklist
- Post Anesthesia Evaluation
Additional document types can be requested.
Please note that Anesthesia Touch™ requires a current license for version 4.5 or greater. You will be prompted for your site's URL to authenticate and setup the application. Please contact your administrative staff for connection information.
Anesthesia Touch™ requires an internet connection to the reach its cloud application, maintained by Coronis Health. All communication between the iOS application and the cloud environment follow best practices for information security and integrity. For more information on firewall configuration, please reach out to our team at anesthesiatouch@coronishealth.com.
more - To make vitals easier to read in the vitals graph when an Arterial pressure and Non-Invasive pressure are being received, Anesthesia Touch will show the labels (numeric value) for the Arterial pressure in the grid and hide the Non-Invasive labels (all values are recorded in the text grid below)
- To provide more information when available, if document printouts are configured to show "Electronically signed by…" and the provider's title is entered in WebAdmin in Anesthesia Touch, the title will now be included with the provider name

4.5.201 07/17/2024
4.5.200 is a minor update that addresses an issue with the new PreOp Clinic Patient List workflow and existing interface based workflows. After this update, appointments marked as PreOp Clinics by the interface will appear in the updated "PreOp Clinic" Patient List filter (integrating the previous functionality into the new feature).
This minor update includes all the following updates of the 4.5.199 February 20th, 2024 update:
• To allow creating PreOp Clinic Documents exclusively for documenting PreOp Clinic findings at an appointment before the DOS, clinicians can now select an Appointment in the - Patient List and mark it as a PreOp Clinic. The PreOp Clinic can be signed and saved; AT will prompt clinicians to import the Clinic findings when starting a PreOp on the DOS (this is based on the Patient’s MRN)
• In order to support more pharmacy formularies and management systems, this release adds support for additional formulary configurations for Pharmacy Connect
• To improve the usability of the “Attachments” feature for Visits in the Patient List, the “Attachment” button will now be always accessible in the Patient List toolbar
• Minor UI Improvements and Other Fixes

4.5.194 04/20/2023
* To allow better control of image content when capturing pictures for the patient record, Image Capture in PreOp and IntraOp now supports cropping pictures after they are taken (use two fingers to zoom and place the image)
* To make it easier to find cases in the Patient List (the schedule) that are currently in IntraOp, Anesthesia Touch will mark cases with an Anesthesia Start time that have not yet had an Anesthesia End time charted with a "Case in IntraOp" label. "Cases in IntraOp" is also now a filter in the Patient List
* To make it easier to find cases in the Patient List (the schedule), clinicians can now sort the list by Location in addition to Time and Name
* To better identify cases that are "incomplete" (do not have all the expected signed documents), a new configuration option is available for a filter in the Patient List (and WebAdmin) to show configured "Incomplete Cases"
* To allow for patient sex to be required when creating "New Patients" from the Patient List (requires configuration), Anesthesia Touch now explicitly shows "Other/Unknown" as an option when documenting sex
* To make it easier to update schedule information, clinicians can now use the Case Info dialog in the Patient List (the schedule) to add the IntraOp Location to a case
* To make it easier to amend or add to existing comments, selecting a comment field with previously entered text no longer automatically highlights that text to delete it
* To make it easier to document the review of patient labs in PreOp that were reviewed in the Hospital EMR, default text is available in the PreOp's Labs dialog now: "Available Lab/Radiology/Testing results reviewed in the EMR"
* To make switching templates easier in the IntraOp Summary view, Anesthesia Touch's Template dropdown will dynamically expand to show more templates when available
* To improve documentation for multiple medication administrations in documents (e.g., Nerve Blocks), medication Link Buttons can now be used to document multiple instances of a medication
* Fixes and Improvements
4.5.193 01/10/2023
* To chart any med administration from inside a document (e.g. a Nerve Block), documents can now have a configured "Any Med" Link Button to choose from the medication library for administrations ("Any Med" buttons appear like regular medication Link Buttons in the UI and printout)
* To make available more detailed administration information from document Link Buttons, document printouts will now include boluses charted times (matching how Link Button infusions are printed)
* To make it easier to document the anesthesia team members on a case, clinicians can now add MDs from the IntraOp's "Others" menu (as in the Patient List)
* To make sure unscheduled patients' account numbers are in the required format, Anesthesia Touch can now be configured to raise a validation alert in IntraOp if an account number is incorrectly formatted (e.g. no leading letter)
