Includes an excellent logger!

Makes operating my Icom 7300 MK2 Soooo much easier. The included logger is a nice bonus and actually unexpected. This is really the only app you need for all mode operating. Very easy to set up. I was missing the direct band switching keys found on most bigger radios. Not to worry, SDR Control makes band changes/frequency changes and really every function easier. The FT-8 works flawlessly and it automatically enters your contacts in the included logger. As a pleasant surprise, the logger picked up all my previous log data from the cloud without intervention, nice! I operate a lot of CW and the CW decoder and keyboard keyer both work great! Very pleased with this app. It is worth the money…
App is good except FT8 is poor

Works well on ssb and general RX. But, is lacking on FT8. Better off running remote desktop into pc in the shack and running WSJT-X there. Ive ran this app on iphone, ipad, and a new Macbook M3. Ive found that WSJT-X on pc connected via usb and my ios devices connected via LAN or WAN at the same time there is a huge difference. The app is always decoding the same data 6 to 12db lower than WSJT-X does. Once WSJT gets to -13 to -16 the app is already -21 or lower and missing decodes. Once WSJT-X gets below -16, this app no longer decodes. What was odd was on the Mac version i enabled alerts for a DX call i could see on WSJT-X and the app would alert the sound, but never display it. All filtering was off. Even tried it with filtering. So it appears a coding issue and threshold on when the decodes no longer display. I emailed Marcus and he basically said hes seen the same thing and it is what it is. Appears he has no desire to dig into it. So, if your looking to use it for FT8, dont. I bought a brand new Macbook Pro M3 3 days ago thinking the faster processor may help. But its not processing i can see. Its the levels in the coding of the app. Other than that, app works good. Usually when i have found bugs he has been great at emailing back and working on a fix. This time it appears as if he is saying it is what it is. Kinda disappointed. Guess i shouldnt have bought the mac or the app.
The Trifecta!

I now have this for my iPhone, iPad, and iMAC (M3). This is an excellent application across all three platforms. Yeah, it costs money.. but you get what you pay for and this developer has worked hard to build an outstanding product. I love the Apple universe and there really is not a-lot out there for Amateur radio. The interface is excellent and easy to setup. The software is updated regularly. Make sure you are aware that you have to purchase the versions separately for iPad, iPhone, and MAC OS. If you enable iCloud, your logbook and configurations will be saved across all of your devices. If you use QRZ, you can easily download and upload your logbook entries.
Makes a 7300 MK2 remote so easy

My Flex 8400 is in need of repair, so I bought a 7300 MK2 for backup/portable. Using it in the shack for the last couple days with SDR Control for Icom allows me to use WSJT-X over LAN along with GridTracker as I have done with my Flex radio. The 7300 MK2 is a radio server similar to the Flex. I find the tools and modes useful and after reading the manual, I’ve been having fun with this software. I can’t recommend this software enough. I’ve also had excellent customer service interaction with Marcus. There are constant updates and improvements and I am completely satisfied with SmartSDR and SDR Control. Thank you Marcus!
This update contains the following changes and improvements:
◉ Several meters (digital and analog) can now be opened in separate windows
◉ A new Setting 'Use Radio Voice Macros' can now be used to choose whether to use voice macros recorded in the app or the radio’s internal voice macros
◉ For the low-latency Common-Radio™ Audio driver there is now a separate Intel Installer so that the Installer won’t require Rosetta for a Silicon Mac installation
◉ Fixed an issue when using the Call lookup from inside certain tools
◉ Fixed an issue when changing Memory Groups in Memory Mode
◉ Implemented some additional improvements and optimizations behind the scenes
