Split & Tip is a tip calculator first: type the amount, pick a percentage, set
the number of people, and the split is there. No sign-up, no account, no ads.
When the bill is more complicated, point the camera at it.
SCAN THE RECEIPT
Take a photo or pick one from your library and Split & Tip reads the lines off
it — dishes, prices, tax, and service charges. It shows you what it read
before anything is added, and tells you when the numbers do not add up to the
printed total rather than quietly splitting something wrong.
WHO HAD WHAT
Tap a person against a line to assign it. Anything nobody claims is split
evenly. Everyone's share is worked out to the cent, and the shares always add
up to the total exactly.
SHARE WITHOUT A SERVER
Send the bill as a link or show a QR code. The whole bill travels inside the
link itself, in the part browsers never send anywhere — so there is no server
holding your dinner, and nothing to leak. The person you send it to just opens
it in a browser.
TRAVELS WITH YOU
Reads receipts in 17 languages — Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Dutch, English,
French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese,
Russian, Spanish, Thai and Vietnamese — and 42 currencies, including the ones that do
not use two decimal places. It understands a European "1.234,56" as readily as
"1,234.56", a yen amount with no decimals at all, and a Kuwaiti dinar with
three.
KEEPS YOUR BILLS
Past bills stay on the phone, searchable, with the receipt photo attached.
Export them as CSV whenever you want them somewhere else.
BUILT FOR THE AWKWARD BITS

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No server. No tracking, no analytics, no advertising SDK. Your
bills and receipt photos stay on your phone. Nothing about your dinner is sent
anywhere.
Fixes, from reports:
• Removing a tax line or a service charge with the “−” button could close the app. Fixed.
• The tax and charges panels now make room when the keyboard is up, so you can see the amount you are typing instead of the keyboard covering it.
• Every tax line's amount can be edited directly, and adding a line puts the cursor straight into it with a number pad rather than a letter keyboard.
• Panels animate more smoothly opening and closing.
