DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP! It is an absolute nightmare that completely broke my iPhone’s system functionality. I spent hours of hard work designing and creating my own custom font within the app, only for the software to glitch out, lock me out of my files, and refuse to let me export or use my own creation. It literally holds your creative work hostage.Worse yet, the app installed a broken third-party keyboard extension that completely ruined my iPhone’s native typing system. Once it was activated, the app trapped my phone and would not let me switch back to my normal keyboard. It froze, glitched out, and corrupted my phone's settings, forcing me to deep-clean my iOS settings and do a hard system reset just to get my normal typing back. This isn't just a poorly made app; it behaves like malware. It ruins your phone's basic settings, destroys user progress, and scams you out of your time. Save yourself the massive headache, stay far away, and do not give this garbage business a single penny. Apple needs to remove this from the App Store immediately.

Don’t bother to download this app. You can write up until J then you have to either pay TWO BUCKS A WEEK (seriously, how conceited ARE these developers? It ain’t that good) or watch fifty trillion ads. I’m a very impatient person, but like, there are so many other apps that give different word fonts that are actually good. No, I am not going to pay over $100 a year for an app that doesn’t do crap. Maybe a few kindergarteners will like it.I’m an author, working on my debut novel. I was trying to use this app to make a font for the title and the chapter names. Something unique. If you’re trying to do anything professional (in a VERY SHORT amount of time), this will not work for you — just use a premade font. But for funsies, this app might work!No hate, really. The concept is amazing, but I don’t think that it’s worth two dollars a week. The target audience of this probably doesn’t make that much. At the most, a good price for this may be $10 a year. Please price things at what they’re worth, and don’t force ads on people every five seconds.Thank y’all! I wish the developers luck in their work journey, and hope they’ll take this advice!~Emgee
What happened?
BaffleBlend
On the last review I wrote (January 1, 2024), I'd rated this five stars, saying it was the best font maker available for iOS. But something changed between then and November. It keeps trying to make the characters extremely tiny regardless of the drawing method I use, and the size slider does not go far enough to compensate. Completing a font I began before whatever change happened has become impossible. I don't know what happened, but I'm very disappointed.
In this update of Calligrapher: Handwriting Font, you can use your handwriting fonts directly in iMessage.
