I am a beginner and this is just great for me . Others I have seen show you the meanings on the backside of the card. This one lets you look at the card and see the meanings on the same side right below the picture. I really like that it is so simple yet has all the information I needed.Thanks….This one is perfect !

Good resource; bad execution

Okay, I’m not a novice at scanning, but not only did the scan yield no information whatsoever, I wasn’t able to return to the regular RWS cards included with the app. Basically, I had to uninstall and reinstall the whole app. This happened multiple times…so I guess I don’t see the point?HOWEVER…the actual info on the cards they already have is very decent. These are keywords and not literal translations, but very good keywords and despite what loftier books/tarot readers say, keywords can be invaluable for beginning readers. And it’s free, so there’s that. In other words, if you want a free resource for learning the RWS deck, it is definitely worth downloading this app. If, however, you want to scan cards for meaning—and I don’t know why you would need to when they’re already included…not so much.

No explanation of cards, only a list of words

This app is very weak. When you click on a card it shows the card and then a list of words. I like the fact that the picture is showing with the card info below, but I am looking for a concise paragraph or two that will explain the meaning of the card. This did not even meet that low threshold. It just gave a list of words. Not really helpful if you are interested in learning about individual card meanings. I deleted the app.

Hi! Thank you very much for your review. I’m sorry to hear that Taroter didn’t meet your expectations. I understand that you were looking for the more detailed descriptions in the application. However, I think it all depends on the preferences - personally, I found it a bit harder to read all those descriptions in other sources when I was learning Tarot at first. It made me confused, as some sources were telling different things about the same card. Hence, I wanted to create an app, which contains only the keywords, which would not only simplify the card meaning, but also it would leave some space to think and create an own interpretation, as we all know that every Tarot Reader can interpret the same card differently (especially the reversed cards). I didn’t want to impose the interpretation because I know that some users would tell during reading “I don’t know, I don’t feel this, it doesn’t resonate with me”. However, when we leave space for the interpretation, the users will read the keyword and think how does it fill their (or others) situation, which will facilitate their learning process because I know that the best learning method is gaining the experience in the practice. And as a software developer, I follow the KISS rule, which is about making everything as simple as possible. However, if anyone reading this would like to get more detailed information in the app, please, don’t hesitate to fill in the request feature form. You can find it in the settings screen -> request feature. I care about your feedback and I feel that thanks to this we can all make Taroter better for everyone. :)Have a wonderful day!
