I enjoyed European 4 a lot so I thought I’d give this one a shot and it did not disappoint. This game has so many different mechanics and elements which at first were overwhelming but once you get the hang of it it’s fantastic. I don’t know that I could ever get bored of this game. Which is something that happened with European war 4. There are countless things you can do in the game and there are countless upgrades. Part of the fun involves having spend a bit of money so it might not be ideal if you don’t have a steady income but those of us who have full time jobs can afford to spend 20 bucks on a game. As far as phone games go this could very well be the best one ever. The amount of time you can spend and be fully entertained is astonishing. The effort put it into this game is out of this world. And as an added bonus you get to learn interesting historical facts and learn about obscure generals and leaders of countries you’ve never even heard of. In the middle of playing the game I am constantly looking up the generals I use and learning about them as I play. This is truly an outstanding game and one that I do not see myself getting bored of for years to come.
Great game some pointers though

Let me start off by saying truly great game the mechanics to the combat, art etc. Awesome, the conquest is hard but not too hard, I have found though that if you don’t have the generals, Justinian the great, or Charles VII, for consul it can be tough especially in the later conquests where the other nations start off with better trained troops and better gear example: downfall of Byzantium, in that one the ottomans start off with 5 ish generals and destroy the polish crusaders within the first 5 ish rounds depending on your actions, but other than that it’s great, I will admit it’s not pay to win but you will be miserable without the IAP generals, especially Richard Lionheart and Charles the great, with the right upgrades and gear they are the two most powerful generals in my opinion, combined with the recently updated Otto the great and Ceaser they are downright unstoppable even on challenge mode. One thing I was sad that wasn’t added was an additional conquest for the mongol invasion post fall of Byzantium via the 4th crusade, it would have been fun to play as the polish for example holding off the Mongols along with Hungary and the HRE or as one of the Byzantine successor states trying to rebuild Byzantium, I know that the resources are there as there are already generals and skins and flags associated with the timeline (Campaign XI rebuilding Byzantium, and Conquest European fantasy Mongol faction) the other conquests are fun especially Century of Iron and downfall of Byzantium I find myself replaying those in particular over and over. Other than that great game but be prepared to grind or spend some extra money to really get good gear and generals, it can be enjoyed without that though.

I have been Playing European War games for as long as I can remember. I have absolutely loved all the games and history created by this franchise and hope it keeps going. There have not been many medieval games over the years and this was just amazing how you guys managed to create a GREAT Game like this. I had played European War 7 since release and I have seen the love and support this game has been given over its time being brought to the public and you guys nailed it. I hope this game can continue to give the joy and love that it had given me since release but, so far you guys have done everything right. From historical sources to the great combat you guys have made this game loved by this European War fan. I want to Personal thank you for all the years of entertainment and Love you guys have to your community and to me. THANK YOU! PS: in the new conquest, when you get past the third title Tier, it doesn’t give you the General that is given to AI for that nation. I hope this gets fixed, but still thank you all for your dedication and making loved games you put your heart into.

Good continuation of series

I was a decent fan of the European War series and a big fan of the somewhat infinite data-free replayability of the WWI inspired EW 3. This one continues the turn based strategy combat of the older games while mixing it up a bit. Raven and Conquoror’s reviews are very correct, as the campaign does take a downturn about halfway through which definitely slows down your progress. There is some effort to monetize the game but you do get a great deal for a free game after all. I did buy a general or two just to throw the creators a couple bucks for their effort for my enjoyment. It’s free and decent, so get it and try it if you like these types of games. And the conquest mode has good replayability, as you have like 2 dozen nations to play across 3 different current maps (add more maps pls). There are daily rewards, which is both good and bad. I also dislike how conquest stops giving you any rewards after you attain hegemony as each nation. Still good tho
