Improves My Relationship with Clothing and Shopping
marigoldsandcrocus
I have struggled with shopping and clothing for a long time and have been aware of it for a couple years, when I started intentionally downsizing my closet in the hopes of finding peace with my clothes. This helped, but I occasionally fell back into shopping sprees to fill the gaps I thought were in my closet. One of the hardest parts was just going through all of my clothes to determine what I wanted to keep or give away. One day, the sight of my laundry pile filled me with so much anxiety that I started looking for additional help and came across several apps. I read articles and ratings, downloaded a handful to test, and ultimately selected Indyx as the best option for company mission, visual appeal, and available features. I decided to go with the paid version for the additional features after my free trial and recommend it as the best way to use the app. It has been worth it to me, and frankly, it’s a fraction of the money I was randomly spending on clothing. I have been doing the Style Workshop, and while it’s taking me longer than standard to complete, I cannot tell you how big of a blessing it has been so far. I committed to not buying any clothing, shoes, or accessories until I was finished with it, and it is both helping me in developing self-control but also my sense of self and style while turning my closet back into a happy place for me. I love Indyx and highly recommend!

Polyvore, but it’s your own closet!
Fae_Marie
Growing up, I was the girl who played 100s of dress-up games and making outfit collages with the app Polyvore. This app is exactly like that, but then you get to wear the outfit in real life! The analytics have also been very helpful and insightful, even though I’m not much of an analytics person. I do however have 2 complaints about this app. 1, I wish the analytics weren’t locked behind the subscription, or at least not all of that feature. Granted the subscription isn’t that expensive and there are many other reasons to have it, but I don’t think you should have to pay just to track your most and least worn items. 2, there’s no way to see who you’ve followed, or who’s following you! You have to scroll through the connect tab and click on each individual because it doesn’t show you who you’re following unless you click on their profile. The point of the connect tab should be to connect with other users, but the way it is now makes it feel like a bit of a useless feature with a lot of potential. Despite my complaints, I still give Indyx 5 stars. I love this app and use it every single day, and there is literally nothing else like it.

Thanks for your thoughtful review. We’re thrilled Indyx has become your grown-up version of Polyvore (and that you actually get to wear the outfits now)!Just to clarify: you can absolutely see your wears and cost-per-wear data for each item on the free plan! Just sort your wardrobe by wears or CPW and you’ll find all that info right there. The Insider plan gives you access to deeper insights and breakdowns, but we’ve made sure those basics stay free. Finally, we really appreciate the feedback on the Connect tab. This is something we’re hoping to improve soon. So glad you’re here!
Quality of Life behind Paywall
Calicatto
I love this app so far, but I am greatly disappointed that some quality of life features are behind a paywall that don’t need to be.I understand needing to fund the app, but a $9 subscription is very excessive if I am someone who just wants to see my stats and maybe reorder my closet/see it at a birdseye view. These features are no extra cost to employees as it’s an automatic process via the app. The subscription definitely makes sense for accessing the community and discounts on Lookbooks. I think it’s also acceptable for extra features such as unlimited selfies that don’t serve a function but are fun.But this is advertised a closet logging app. I think the fact that the two features I first mentioned are behind a paywall defeats the purpose to some degree. This is still a small app and I’d love to see it grow. I personally think a one-time payment to unlock access to stats forever for a reasonable price like $1, the cost of many apps with unlockable features, would be great! Or even watch an ad to unlock seeing my stats for an hour. Another option is to have different subscription options with different prices, $1/M for stats+birds eye, $3/M for selfies, $9/M for community+discounts, etc. Not everyone has $9 a month to spare if they’re not seeking fashion advice but still want to enjoy more features of the app. That’s more than a lot of streaming services that are unaffordable to me and I’m sure others are in similar situations. I’d super appreciate it if the team could consider this, I’d love to support Indyx!!!
Only Closet Organizer App I’ve Actually Used
EMoney125683
I have tried a couple different closet organization apps in the past but have never committed to adding many items into the closet. This app makes the process so easy and enjoyable and I have uploaded about 80% of my closet to the Indyx app. I have loved how easy it is to add pieces into the app, I love that the app automatically removes as much background as possible to leave a clean and simple picture and I love that I am able to put together outfits and save them in the app. They even recently added a calendar feature that allows you to plan outfits and assign them to a day of the week. I especially love that they offer the option to have a personal stylist go through your wardrobe and put a few outfits together for you for a variation of costs. It is really such a great app and while I do hope for one or two small additions to the app, I love it just as much as is. Ultimately, it would be nice to be able to filter items out into specific groups such as just looking at all shorts or all sweaters or all flats etc but even without that option, it’s still the best app I’ve ever come across and I love it. Cannot recommend enough.
Meet the Today tab — a brand new part of the app centered around the most important question of the day: what are you wearing?
Your outfit calendar is now front and center, making it easier than ever to log what you're actually putting on. Add individual items, full outfit boards, or selfies. Every wear you track feeds your analytics and cost-per-wear data, so the more you log, the smarter your wardrobe gets.
Also new: choose in your wardrobe settings whether your calendar week starts on Sunday or Monday. Small thing, but we heard you.
