Well, I like yope but it’s for kids with strict parents and very like Snapchat and well the kids who don’t have strict parents have actual Snapchat and when they’re friends and you send the link and they don’t have it and they’re like (“what’s yope?”)it’s embarrassing and that’s why I don’t like but after that it’s a good app.

I tried it bc i love posting pictures in chat, but this app just makes u wanna punch the dev in the face with their overly aggressive push of how much they want to u add more people or keep posting. For example, My first impression was already bad bc soon as i started the app, it seemingly Require u to add atleast 5 people before you can continue to the main screen, if you are a kid or a teen u wouldnt know to just close the work around on that and forcibly recommend a froend an app that u havent even used urself, WHICH BY IT SELF IS ALREADY A RED FLAG. The app isnt confident with its own design will draw u to invite people, it relies on tricking people to invite others in order to grow. SECOND THING, i am already a aggressive picture uploader, HOWEVER the app would still send me notifications to tell me to “check out ur friends post” even tho there is no new post!! It keep poping up notifications BEGGING you to open the app for absolutely zero reason what so ever (app store tracks stats) in order to hack user activeness but blatantly disregard user experience. Third thing u cant even post a video clip on this thing like wth?. So bad app, bad marketing strategy, terrible people who worked on this. Do not support these type of dev or app. also its not even good! Like most people will look past these schemie little things company does if the app offers value out weight that, but it doesnt. It tricks people to invite to inflate download count, it constantly sending u meaningless notefications begging for u to open the app, to hack active users count. The whole thing is just a big scam to inflat numbers to app store to make this piece of garbage app looks some what downloadable. 🤮🤮🤮

I know this app is trying to expand in the US and all. I tried getting it with my friends and it really just didn’t click with us. The AI walls are cute, but snapping each other on Snapchat is much easier and convenient instead of trying to get everybody to move to a new app. The whole streak thing and needing to feel safe to post is just eh. It just didn’t really work out. I’d rather use the app that all my friends are on already and I feel comfortable using because my I like my social media that I already have. I ended up trying the ambassador program and just had a bunch of people I didn’t even know on my wall so in reality, I didn’t feel comfortable posting on it because I didn’t know anybody and none of my friends in the US wanted to move to the app. I could see this being a good app, but not for me.

Aggressive data collection and no way to contact developers

I really hate that this app immediately insists on collecting data, gaining access to your contacts, and prevents you from accessing basic features until you send invite links. I tried reaching out to out to their support with the email on their website to delete my account and the it bounced saying the email doesn’t exist. Same thing with the email provided in their privacy policy. I managed to fight through the onboarding process by just sending invite links to myself and delete my account from within the app itself, but I have little faith this actually did anything considering my experience with the contact information on their website and legal documents. Thankfully I didn’t provide my legal name (they require you to enter a both first AND last name, btw) but I’m still miffed I handed out my phone number. I’d just stay away from this.
