Description

A soft and authentic sound of a 100% analog organ from 1968

Originally this organ was inspired by a Magnus Model 300 Harmonium / organ (a brand of the "Magnus Harmonica Corporation") from our collection in perfect condition. It delivers a warm and unique sound between an accordion and a harmonica. The samples have been meticulously captured in stereo and denoised in order to render all the naturalness of the original organ without the noise of the mechanical fan

Takes me back…

In December on 1966, my mother kept me home from school one day (first time ever and only) to go with her to Woolworths to pick out a Magnus Chord Organ for a Christmas present for the family. I was the family musical expert having completed two years of trombone lessons. The one we got was a little fancier than this with two rows of chords, one major row and one minor. We got a music book with it too. It was my first introduction to the treble clef and the keyboard. From the book I learned the difference between major and minor chords (major chords were in white circles and minor were in black, like the buttons obviously.) I spent all Christmas Day picking out Silent Night with the C, F and G chords. So when I downloaded this, that was what I had to do again. My Keystep 37 has better action I don’t miss the loud fan that acted like bellows for the free reeds. But this was a good (old) time, thanks Julien.

Finally a fantastic harmonium Auv3!!

The sound on this is fantastic. Setting the tremolo very low (at a 1) I can get a fantastic harmonium sound that replicates the sounding of pumping the air.

I have found a bug I hope you can fix.. when playing with the digital keyboard built in to the stand alone or into my DAWs (AUM or Loopy Pro) everything works great. But as soon as I connect to a midi controller, the sound reverts back to the default launch settings (chords below a certain point and none of the effects work). The settings show my changes, but the sound does not reflect any of them. I’m using a Keystep and also tried the KB1 digital midi keyboard and both have the same issue. With that fixed, perfection!

One other minor request is to have the lower tremolo settings stretch a little further to give more room for minor tweaking in those ranges. I don’t see myself ever going over 2 speed and 3 amplitude, but would love to have more variety between 0 and those lower levels. 3 already starts to become a fast tremolo… maybe move the 3 setting to 5 so there is more dynamic range in the slow tremolo settings.

Thank you for this!! I’m going to get a lot of use out of it and would happily pay for this app!
