Islands now have their own coordinates and therefore appear directly on the map. In addition, you can store information for each island that matters when anchoring and mooring – such as prison islands, nature reserves or access restrictions. We've also moved the app to responsive layouts: every view now adapts neatly to any screen size, from iPhone to iPad. And, as always, this release includes numerous bug fixes and optimisations under the bonnet.

General bug fixes, plus improvements to data import and export

This update brings a host of new features for crew, costs, and trip planning – along with plenty of small improvements under the hood. Crew Management Made Easy You can now define a permanent crew that's automatically applied whenever you create a new stage. The permanent crew is also clearly identified in the official crew list. Better Trip Planning in Places2Visit We've added the marina's maximum draft and linked it by color to your boat. If the draft is too shallow for a marina, the location is now flagged with a color code – so you can see at a glance where things might get tight. You can also display airports in Places2Visit now. Enhanced Cost and Repair Management Defects can now be assigned to a specific sail, the engine, or a CarryOn. Other costs can be linked directly to a repair and reported accordingly. We've also integrated the Ships Kitty, which you can conveniently export as a PDF or CSV. Improved Cost Overview The Cost Summary is now also displayed in your logbook's currency whenever possible. New features for your blue water voyage Shopping lists and recipes can now be exported directly – ideal for preparation ashore and on board. Items and ingredients can be stored centrally and flexibly added to baskets and recipes. Searching recipes by ingredient makes planning even easier. For route planning, the planning speed can now be preset automatically to half the hull speed. Distance features a new map view with great-circle distance calculation, and NauticMeteo can optionally adopt previous suggested values from the history. Bug fixes: Navigation errors to and from Crew4Stage, printing issues with the watch schedule, and various minor bugs have been resolved. Fair winds and a handsbreadth of water under your keel!

Split@Midnight – more precise Etmal tracking: Nautical log entries are now automatically split at midnight. The result: accurate daily distances and significantly more precise Etmal calculations for your passage analysis. Watch schedules taken to the next level: Create, edit and print your watch schedules directly from the app – including freeform mode and additional forms for maximum flexibility. Passage planning made easy: Assign multiple Places2Visit to a stage and export your complete passage plan as Markdown or PDF. You can also now store the stage directly within Places2Visit. Charts with more options: Planning Map and Route Map now offer extended view options for an even better overview whilst on the water.
