With version 4.2.5 we have improved the animation and the narration.

Version 4.2.0 adds a narration voice that reads the captions, and even better animation that makes the video you create have more impact.

The layout of animated screens has been adjusted in this version so that when the screen is recorded the resulting video can be more easily cropped on your phone to the 9:16 aspect ratio required by social media short-form videos.

With 4.1.0 we are introducing spoken narration of the captions in the app's animation. This increases the impact of any video of the app that you record on your phone. We have also improved some of the captions and made other small changes. Lastly, we have temporarily withdrawn the election feature of the app as it's too early to get data about candidates who will be standing in the 2026 elections.

Version 4.0.1 includes some improvements to version 4, which enables you to compare the 2024 candidates in any Congressional election, seeing how much campaign money they have taken from special interests who may be trying to buy influence so that they can persuade the candidates to support legislation that their constituents might not like. Bug fixes were also applied.

With version 4 you can choose any congressional election race and see which candidates are taking the most money from special interests. Are they working for us, the voters, or for those interests instead?

Version 3.0.4+37 provides information on the sources of public data that we use to identify the Top Takers (see the Notice accessed by the hamburger icon on the first page of the app.) We've also made some minor coding changes and fixed some bugs.

With support for the 2022 elections, version 2.0 provides a way to create custom videos about how much candidates are taking from special interests. Look for a new "Election 2022" tab, that leads to a new section of the app with recent data about takings by candidates running for a US House or Senate seat. Then there's a new elections story template to customize and share.

Version 1.0.0 includes numerous improvements and bug fixes. You'll notice that some colors stand out better. There are some prompts to help you get started. If an error should occur, the app handles it better and gives you more feedback about the problem.
