Great game and so addictive! A few suggestions though, if it’ll make a difference. Fix the bugs, and, I agree with some other reviewers on here and I think there should be female birds as well as baby birds. I’m almost finished with the Yellowstone birds and I feel like the game is pretty much over after I discover all of them. I think that there should be 5-10 different parks or regions to explore per continent. All of the birds in the world aren’t just in Yellowstone. And I don’t think that other continents and regions you should have to pay for. Like most other games, in app purchases are offered for special items and to speed up game play but it usually isn’t a requirement to actually play the game. By making England a region you have to purchase to play (as I’m sure you’ll do with other regions too), you’re making it a game that people need to be able to afford to play and if you do that then you won’t have too many people playing it or recommending it. It should be an option to “buy now” for faster game play but there should be an option to play normally at a slower pace and then eventually be able to unlock all the areas and regions as you get farther into the game. Add more birds to the regions too. There should be way more than 77 birds in Yellowstone alone. I love the idea of attracting the birds to find them but maybe make it so some birds are rarer than others to find and if they are found maybe make it so there are more seeds given to the player for finding said birds. And maybe make more areas per region? Why are there only 3 areas to go to? Ive only been playing for less than a day and like I said, I feel like the game is almost over for me, which makes me sad. 😞

This is probably the best birding simulator that I’ve played. But, I feel like the extra packs are just a couple dollars to expensive. I’m not saying it’s that big of a deal but it makes me a little annoyed. Another thing is that there should be something that you can do to unlock the Yellowstone lake besides buying the All-access Yellowstone pack. Also, I played the game for about 3 hours straight and put all the stuff that a Wilson’s Warbler would like but it still never showed up. I don’t think it’s a bug or anything but I thought it was unusual because someone I know saw the warbler at the very beginning of the game. I also think that you could make more money if you let players unlock things without playing but still have the extra stuff cost money. That would have more people play your game and more people paying for your things. I also noticed that when I looked at the Killdeer on my life list it didn’t have anything on the facts. It was just the sound. I know that I unlocked the facts but it didn’t show anything. My last thing that I have to say is that the Greater Yellowlegs didn’t have a picture. Besides that, this is a 5-star game. I lowered two stars because of my complaints but if you changed some of the things that I talked about this game would definitely earn a 5 star. First of all to start with I think that there should be baby birds I’m not saying that there should be so many baby birds, but I’m just saying maybe there could be like a couple of baby birds like it could be like uncommon to see them and also, I think that there should maybe be an easier way to get the lake I mean like not a really easier way, but I just want there to be an easier way yeah and also otherwise it’s almost the best game ever I mean like there’s so many different varieties of birds to see and you get to see new birds and there are places that you can go and so many cool packs and also there are so many different kinds of birds I just love how many and also first of all, I really really like how there are so many different kinds of birds and yeah so either than that stuff it’s amazing and plus there aren’t very many ads.

As a birding guide and avid birder, I was super intrigued by this app. It’s almost perfect but there are some points that massively bring it down. First, the good: as a guide in Yellowstone for several years, I love its attempt at accuracy in the Yellowstone area. The visuals and songs I’ve encountered so far are all pretty much accurate and (discounting things like seasonality for some species and the limitations in habitat for a mobile app), I’ve come only across a couple “weird” things (like Blue Jays being very common when in reality they’re really quite rare). Overall, not too bad!Now for the bad: this app, much like its Swarovski partner, isn’t cheap. The pay walls are honestly too great and add up too quickly for it to become the widespread and incredible learning tool it could become. I truly believe apps like this can make a significant amount of money providing all the basic tools/areas for free and only charging for “extras” that are unnecessary to the layperson enjoying the game (see: the multi-millions Fortnite brings in on a FREE game). I wouldn’t even be surprised if it wouldn’t make MORE in the end by attracting a larger audience having far more micro-transactions. As it is, after a very very short time trying the game out you’re hit by a pay-wall which doesn’t allow you to go further than just part of the opening area. It’s early enough to have convinced me and others not to pay anything or go any further. It’s unfortunate because otherwise I’d be strongly recommending this app to others as a learning tool and I’m sure they’d have a far greater audience with more folks willing to pay for little things like “premium” binoculars or feeders/etc while being able to complete goals and experience the areas and birds themselves for free.
