After two years of playing this game regularly, (plus a little studying of a map after I play) I have increased my knowledge of geography exponentially! I can now identify almost every country, territory and province on my first try! (The islands are still challenging...) And I have a solid map of the world in my mind at all times. Thank you for this game and resource! I only wish I could play more rounds!

I loved this game until it started spitting up ads every time I opened the app. And the only non-ad version is a $40 subscription? Idk, I know it’s an indie developer and whatever, but it feels like a lot for 5 minutes of game play every day. I have other subscriptions that cost the same amount that are services I use for hours at a time. But this is literally two puzzles and then wait 24 hours. And the no-ad subscription comes with some kind of AI thing I don’t even want? I would be happy to pay a one time fee for a no-ad version of the game (the way games used to work), but I’m not paying for a subscription I don’t even want. I hate that I can’t play anymore, but I deleted the app.(Though I would like to add that it annoys me so many people complain about Pacific Islands being included. The Marshall Islands? Samoa? Tuvalu? These are real countries and the fact that you think they’re too small to be significant is a you problem.)

I love the premise of this game, and I am a self-proclaimed geography nerd, but more than half of the countries are obscure island nations which are impossible to guess. I tried for a while, years actually, but finally I threw in the towel. I don't even bother guessing the country if it's an island nation. Similarly, the flags tend to repeat themselves. I see the same dozen repeated every month or two with a few new ones every now and then. Most of them are also obscure island nations or unrecognized countries/territories globally. There are so many Asiatic and African countries who's flags are never put up to guess and it's frustrating when I see the British Virgin Islands for the fourth time in as many weeks.

This used to be my favorite daily game, but the recent update has really hurt the experience.The app now has aggressive ads, including scam-looking ones like “Your phone has 70 viruses, click here.” Even worse, most ads seem to get stuck and won’t close, forcing me to completely close and reopen the app just to continue playing.When I first opened the updated version, I was required to create an account. That was not really a problem, but what really bothered me was being forced through a notification setup screen that couldn’t be skipped. It essentially required enabling notifications before continuing, which felt unnecessarily pushy.The new UI feels cluttered and much less polished than the old version. While some of the new features are fun and add variety, they come at the cost of what made WORLDLE great in the first place: a clean, simple, minimalist experience.It’s disappointing. I’ve played this game almost every day for over five years, and it used to be an easy recommendation. Now it feels like another app chasing engagement metrics at the expense of user experience.RIP to the old WORLDLE.
