This application is free and open source (FOSS) software. Run a virtual macOS machine on your Apple Silicon computer. On first start, the latest macOS restore image can be downloaded from Apple servers. After installation has finished, you can start using the virtual machine by performing the initial operating system (OS) setup. You can configure the following virtual machine parameters: - CPU count - RAM - Shared folder To use USB disks, you can use the settings to configure the location where VM files are stored. Unlike other apps on the AppStore, no In-App purchases are required for managing multiple virtual machines, setting CPU count or the amount of RAM. This application is free and open source software, source code is available at: https://github.com/yep/virtualOS

I’m happy with overall experience!I think it would be great if the progression bar dialog automatically closes when downloading images or creating a new vm is completed. It would make it more clear that the process is finished rather than just keep showing “Cancel button” which users can misinterpret as interrupting the process.

Thank you for your feedback. The button text now changes to "Done" once the download of a restore image or install has finished.

The app is very simple, the person who gave 3 stars didnt take time to look at the settings which allowed you to download previous versions AND to allocate less than the default 60GB for smaller tasks. Overall very nice

Easy way to have a Virtual macOS to test, please apart from the option to allow configuration for the memory, processors, etc.Also is nice to have a way to configure the possibility to share file back and for (Drag & Drop).

VirtualOS crashing frequently

VirtualOS was the first free VM app I used on my MacBook Pro (M1 based). It worked fine , with some obvious limitations , but it was stable enough. Actually I would have liked to be able to increase the base disk size so I can update the OS , but there is no option to do this, as far as I know. Unfortunately after the latest update, VirtualOS is crashing frequently after a minute or two. It is much less reliable than the UTM Virtual machines.
