sleek is an open-source (FOSS) todo manager based on the todo.txt syntax. Stripped down to only the most necessary features, and with a clean and simple interface, sleek aims to help you focus on getting things done.
All classic todo.txt attributes are supported and enhanced by additional features. Creating todos is straightforward, and tag-based filtering in tandem with highly customisable grouping and smart full-text search allows for rapid information retrieval. Completed todos can be hidden or archived into separate done.txt files. Easy integration with other todo.txt apps is facilitated by continuously scanning todo.txt files for changes.
sleek is available for Windows, macOS and Linux, and in several languages.

I JUST got this app. Am very impressed with the design. A lot of thought has gone into the design. I would guess that this early in the design means it can use improvements. Hopefully the developer is open to suggestions and offers good tech support.

Can’t open a document by any method

At first I used the buttons for opening an existing todo.txt document. But you get a warning that you must use the file menu on Mac. Using the file menu doesn’t even pop up the warning that you must use the file menu. Nothing happens at all.

It’s difficult to pinpoint exactly what might be going wrong on your end without more details. However, there have been improvements in version 2.0.16 that could potentially resolve the issue. If the problem persists, I would greatly appreciate a bug report on GitHub (https://github.com/ransome1/sleek/issues) with additional details. I’m confident we can resolve this.
