This app is very straightforward, easy and user-friendly. The scans come out pretty accurate. I do wish, though afterwards you were able to get the measurements and dimensions from the scan. Also, I wish that you were able to then modify and add things to the object in which you scan. It would make this app most lead for modification. Overall, the skin is pretty accurate and I guess if needed you could export the file to a different app that would allow you to modify it. Look forward to seeing you maybe in a later update.

Subscription Issues

I paid for a month long subscription on the 8th of October, so it should be good until November, but when I open my app and go to use the scanning feature, it claims I have no active subscriptions and wants me to pay again to use the features I’ve already paid for. In my Apple account it shows the payment went through and that it’s still active. I checked my bank account connected to the card it charged and it shows it took money out of my account to confirm it went through. I’m using the same device I bought the subscription on, connected to the same Apple account I’ve always had, so it’s not something I’ve done. There is nothing in the app that tells me what to do or who to contact, so I’m requesting a refund and will not be using this app anymore. It worked fine for the first 2 days I used it, but visiting it half a month later for it to not work when I needed it, after I paid for a subscription, is disappointing. I’ve seen other people have had this same issue as well, if it’s this difficult to keep up with subscriptions and contact customer service I don’t want to work with this company again.

I downloaded this for my 10 year old brother who had gotten a 3D printer for Christmas.It did not have what he was looking for so I deleted it within 10 minutes of downloading. 7 weeks later i noticed Ive been getting charged for a weekly subscription.I genuinely believe I never initiated any subscription. I am very hesitant to EVER start a subscription let alone an app I just downloaded.That being said, I understand it could have been user error in the chaos of a 10 year old over your shoulder lol.The issue is more so that i haven’t opened the app since the day I downloaded it and apple/magiscan has refused to refund me after 4+ disputes on the ineligible refund decision. Not sure how much weight they hold in that decision, but I’m out $38 or so after just TRYING this app. While i figure this isn’t a big amount to have lost, the principle that you can lose money because you TRIED an app (free to your knowledge) feels ridiculous.I’d like to dispute the charges through my bank but I was told by apple support they would ban my payment method and that would be a headache worth less than the money lost.Hope the $38 helps the creators because they’ll definitely need it.There was a time where $38 was make or break for me and i feel for anyone who has been scammed by these guys and didn’t have the funds to shrug off the loss.

Developers cannot charge users directly, and refund decisions are made by Apple. If a charge occurred, it usually means a subscription was activated through Apple’s billing system. I just downloaded and tried it. Well I tried to try it, anyway. I’m looking for a serious scanning software for business use. I can’t take any company seriously that makes me wait an hour for a free sample scan. Yet amazingly, processing time IS promised to drop to 4 minutes IF I step up and pay the “premium” price. Well gee, thanks. Look, I don’t mind buying software, but I’m not being strong armed into buying anything BEFORE I know if it will do what I need it to do. Imagine going to a shoe store and being told you have to wait an hour before you can try on a pair of shoes. This is a terrible business practice, and it does not entice anyone to buy your program. Please don’t reply with the same lame nonsense excuse about how the cue is so long for free samples, bla bla bla. No other 3d scan app I tried seems to have this problem.
