Just got the tv app and it needs lots of updates. Where do I start? Needs a user friendlier “Resume”. It just lets us pick the drama we are currently watching and then it takes you to the episode list. It doesn’t tell you which episode you last watched. It just has a Full Screen option which I didn’t know you have to click to continue from where you left off. I just figured that out. For a new user, it can be difficult to understand. Also, at the start of each episode for Love in Panacea, it always starts off the the beginning of the end credits and not the beginning of the episode. It’s really annoying because I have to rewind every episode before I watch. Would also like my settings to stay put like my subtitle preference is English. I have to set each episode to English before watch. Wish there was a skip intro and end credit option on both the Mobile app and tv app. I mentioned this in a previous review but that never got put into the app so I’m suggesting it again. The only good thing is there is an app on the Apple TV now instead of having to mirror it onto the tv using the mobile app. Please update soon.

Thank you for your valuable opinion, it is an important reference for us to optimize the APP. However, there is a problem. Currently we support automatic saving of subtitle language settings. Normally, there is no need to reset subtitles every time.
YOUKU App (IPhone/Ipad/TV)

I have had the YOUKU (Iphone/Ipad) app since it was first dropped on the Apple Store and the improvements have been steady, which has allowed the app to improve in user friendliness and ease. I have always been a fan of YOUKU shows and the improvements have only made the experience better. I have utilized the apps feedback options multiple times and YOUKU (for most cases) have sent a personal response showing they took my feedback into consideration. I have even noticed some of version updates having some of the changes I commented on. I have other Chinese drama apps and I find the YOUKU app to be competitive with these. For a while the iphone/Ipad app disappeared from the Apple Store, but now it is back with a TV option (AppleTV) as a bonus! So far the TV app does not disappoint, especially since it is newly released. I look forward to the improvements on the future versions and will continue to provide feedback to help with its growth. I am excited about having the YOUKU show content on my TV screen via the APP instead of screensharing from my Iphones or iPads YOUKU app. - Melanie A.

I saw a special package for $0.99 and thought it would last for at least a week, but it only gave access to a couple of episodes. That’s on me for assuming, so fine.Then I decided to purchase the VIP option because it showed a 40% discount from$5.99 to $3.59, which sounded like a great deal. But there was no discount at all — I was charged full price.It’s not about the money, it’s the false advertising that’s frustrating. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt, but now I understand why the reviews are sitting around 2.5 stars. I really disappointing with this app! The reason I gave you this much is because of Zhang Linghe’s movie otherwise -0 😡😡

Good price but app needs some serious updates

I’ve been using this app mostly on my AppleTV 4K streaming device for over two years off/on without many issues. Created account using my Gmail then login on AppleTV 4K. The subscription price within the app can sometimes be more expensive or cheaper. When compared to the price within in iPhone under your account/subscription section. There you can always see different subscription plans/price. It takes a few minutes for subscription to activate. May need to reboot the app a few times as well to be able to watch. There are some pretty good dramas and they have some great donghua anime that I really enjoy. The app can use some major user intuitive updates. Subtitles sometimes will change on its own then I have to change back to English. Can be annoying at times. Will be nice if the app can track what episodes you’ve watch to pick up where you left off on. The search filter function can be better and is also annoying. My major complaints is there’s no 4K resolution content. Admin pleased update to have 4K streaming.
