Captions, redone. • 21 styles — boxes, pills, outlines, neon and more. Tap one and the whole track changes at once. • Captions for any clip, not just your FaceCam. • Put them at the Top, Center or Bottom, and show a whole Sentence or one Word at a time. • Pick the Language you speak. Recordings longer than a minute are now captioned all the way through. Fixed • Correcting a word no longer switches the highlight off.

Four new ways to join your clips. • Transitions — Dissolve, Zoom, Whip and Glitch join Crossfade. Tap the join between two clips, pick one, and it plays right away so you can see it before you keep it. • The join button now shows the effect you chose, and is easier to hit. Fixed • Long menus such as Filters no longer squeeze their last options. • Choosing an effect or moving a blur box no longer sends the playhead back to the start.

Hide anything in your video, and choose how your clips meet. • Blur box — cover a name, a message, a face, anything that shouldn't be seen. Drag it over the spot, pick Soft or Mosaic, set the Strength and round the Corners. It hides whatever sits under it, face cams included, and the exported video matches the preview exactly. • Transitions — tap the join between two clips and choose None or Crossfade. Choosing one takes you straight to it, so you can play it back and decide. • Now in French and Italian. German, Hindi and Arabic are fully translated on every screen. • Text and subtitles always stay on top — a face cam or a sticker can no longer cover them. • Your video's sound drops lower under your voice, so a face cam or commentary comes through clearly. • New text lands centred on the lower third of the picture, and subtitles are the same size in landscape as in portrait. • Select an image to adjust how long it stays on screen. Fixed • The Aspect button responds on the first tap. • Subtitles no longer dim when you select the face cam they belong to.

The biggest update yet for framing your video. • Rotate anything — face cams, text and stickers now turn to any angle, and click into place at each right angle. • Zoom and reframe — pinch to zoom inside a face cam or a clip, drag with two fingers to choose what shows, or press and hold to do it with one finger. Double-tap to zoom straight to the spot you tapped, and double-tap again to go back. • Frame every clip on its own — give a clip its own frame, move it, resize it, and choose whether the video fills that frame or fits inside it. • Set your face cam up before you record — size, shape, position and front or back camera, so what you framed is what you get. • Use a video from your library as a face cam, instead of recording a new one. • Position presets — put your face cam bottom left, along the top or to the side, and your clips make room for it. • Alignment grid — anything you drag or resize clicks onto the thirds and the centre, with a small vibration to confirm it. Switch it off whenever you like. • Quick settings while you edit — countdown, video sound and the grid, without leaving your project. • Tap the video to pick the clip you are looking at, and playback now stops at the end of the clip you are working on. • A blurred face cam background continues your own video behind the frame instead of leaving a gap. Fixed • Video from the rear camera came out rotated sideways, with half the picture cropped away. • Playback could stick on a frame or jump while you dragged along the timeline. • Framing changes only appeared once you pressed play. • Handles were visible but impossible to grab once a layer had been rotated or sat against the edge. • The preview now crops the picture exactly where the exported video crops it. • The play and pause button is far easier to tap.

• Refined the free-tier watermark: cleaner placement, better legibility, and it no longer sits under the like/comment/share buttons on TikTok and Instagram.

• Library: use a video you already have as a face cam — react without recording live. • Trim face cams and voice-overs: drag either edge of the block in the timeline, or open Trim. • Exports are much faster and noticeably sharper — the whole project now renders in one pass instead of three. • The timeline handles are far easier to grab.

• True 4K exports: portrait and landscape projects now render at the full resolution you pick — a 4K clip exports as real 4K. • Smaller resolutions export faster, too.

A rebuilt editor, and captions that look like the ones you scroll past. CAPTIONS THAT POP Auto-captions arrive white, uppercase and shadowed, with the spoken word picked out in gold. One tap cycles UPPERCASE, lowercase and original. PLAYBACK SPEED Set any clip from 0.5x to 2x. Voices keep their natural pitch. RESIZE FREELY Face cam now has separate width, height and corner handles, so it is no longer stuck as a square. Layers snap to the centre of your video and to your recording's own shape. SEE YOUR AUDIO A live waveform while you record face cam or commentary, and the finished waveform on its timeline block.
