AFRA is an African contemporary art mobile app for discovering and learning about the world's most exciting, innovative and influential contemporary artists.
You will find in this app both established artists, as well as emerging artists who are not yet well known.
Each day, our editorial team will introduce you to African contemporary art through a short article written by an expert in the field. Our articles will give you all necessary information about the artist, their work, creative process and the stories behind their creations as well as a look at his/her biography and influences.
Afra has been created to give visibility to one of the most important cultural movements of our time, which is represented by artists who are now part of the international artistic circuit but who have for too long remained unknown. We believe that this movement must be known by everyone.
AFRA is committed to promoting an open dialogue about art by fostering a global community of artists, curators, collectors and enthusiasts in order to celebrate our diverse culture through the visual arts.
Our goal is to connect with a global audience who will be inspired by the quality of work presented on AFRA and motivated to learn more about African contemporary art.
