Ok. After reading a ton of reviews I have to say first off, all the people who are saying "Too many ads" are absolutely correct. I couldn't even get to the title screen without running into an ad. Had to close and reopen the game several times to actually play the game. So remove every single add. People don't play games to be interrupted by ads. They play to have fun and in this case, be scared. 😈 Now in saying that, beware because this is just me coming from the PC backrooms world into the mobile gaming backrooms world, and almost nothing really scares me anymore. So with that, here's my review. This game isn't even scary compared to some PC backrooms games I've played. In my opinion, the entities are animated good and the gameplay is good don't get me wrong on those. But quite honestly, first play, I was hysterically laughing. I even charged at the first entity to get it to chase me. Why? Hah. Why not? 🤷🏼♂️🙂 The sounds the first entity makes aren't scary at all. I was laughing hysterically at all the entities and every time the first one hit me, I said in the most mono tone voice "Ow. It hit me. 😂" While hysterically laughing. Honestly though, without the adds and much scarier entity sounds, as well as a completely random movement algorithm for the entities instead of a predictable algorithm every backrooms game uses, the game would be soo much scarier and a lot more fun. 🙂 Just my opinion though. Will keep playing for the laughs and the fun of it 🙂
I thought I knew horror

This game is absolutely terrifying, and this is coming from someone who gets bored with even highly recommended horror movies. I seriously recommend this for anyone tired of the same old tropes and jump scares. I do not recommend it though if you’re easily or even moderately scared of things like this, because this game is seriously terrifying That said, I have to compliment the graphics and gameplay, they did really well, especially for a mobile app. I saw this in a video and thought it was a computer game, seriously well done job on the developers part. If I could change anything I’d make it so I don’t have to start fresh over, maybe a checkpoint type of thing, and I’d add a little more freedom to the choices you can make and the consequences they have. For example, on level two (spoiler alert) when being chased by the entity, the game tells you, “I need to run back!” Which I did, I then turned a corner and hopped under a pipe into a room hoping to let the monster pass by me so I could continue moving forward past him. He just waited for me outside the opening screaming until I stumbled into him. It’s a great game, just be careful to take instructions literally if you download it
Backrooms level rating
sorta good gamer
Level 0: it’s not as hostile but there are some things that chase you. Level 1: it’s a fun level that might take you a few tries to figure out what you are trying to do. Level 2: fun concept but maybe that if you go left you get attack by a smiller but anyway it’s a cool puzzle and chase scene Level fun: first there are so many level fun entrances in level 0 and there are no partygoers at all. Poolrooms: it looks beautiful well done and it’s fun to look around in it with all the pool toys, and the glow stick flashlight it too op. Some suggestions: maybe add glow sticks so you can plant them on the ground. Add survival mode where set you set in any of the rooms and you have to survive waves of entities after you and you run around hiding. You should add friendly entities like a entity that plays hide n seek with you. Add the glow stick flashlight in other floors not just in the poolrooms. Also add a speedrun mode where the hub doesn’t exist and when you beat the game it will add your time to a online leaderboard. Add a multiplayer mode I think it would be cool.
Hella fun

This game captures exactly what a liminal space should feel like—quiet, endless, and strangely nostalgic. Wandering through empty corridors, abandoned pools, or flickering hotel lobbies feels less like a horror experience and more like stepping into a memory that was never yours. The sound design is subtle but haunting. The lighting? Dim, perfect. And the environments are surreal without trying too hard—nothing jumps out at you, but everything feels off in the best way. It’s like you’re waiting for something to happen… but it never does. And somehow, that’s even creepier.I’ve played for hours just exploring. No big objectives, no loud music, just me and the weird quiet. If you like games that feel like 3AM in a place you shouldn’t be, this one’s for you.
The Backrooms have been rebuilt with smoother movement, better controls, stronger atmosphere, and deadlier chases.

Step back in.
The descent is darker than ever.
