DIGITAL LOGBOOK: Log your Scuba, Freediving, Extended Range and Rebreather (SCR/CCR) dives in seconds via Bluetooth. Easily share your dives via QR code. Add new dives with your device’s GPS and download your dives from selected dive computers (1*).
DIVE SITES: With the help of the Mares dive site database, you can immediately assign a dive site to your logged dives. You can also add your own private dive sites and share them with your dive buddies using a QR code. You can download your dive data directly from selected Mares dive computers .
WILDLIFE: A variety of local wildlife is already stored in the app for individual dive sites. This means you can immediately assign the highlights of your underwater encounters to your logged dives. Your sightings are displayed on your personal world map.

Recently I went Night Diving and unfortunately wasn’t able to have Sirus light up to see any information. Tried several options in the Brightness Option (Low, Medium, high and Dive) and also with the Backlight Option (Auto-Off or Push On/Off) without any success. Tried to find any suggestions or information in the manual without success. Any suggestions?

Getting back into diving after 20 year break (5,000+ dives) and was thinking about digital logbooks. This app simply wouldn’t allow me to log a dive… asked me about 1,000 different ways to begin waterplay (I’m a former dive instructor. So, I don’t need to LEARN how to snorkel or where the nearest SSI training center is). Then when I tried to simply log a dive it told me I needed to have a dive computer to sync with or it wouldn’t allow me to log dives. OK, I’m a Mares fan (old and new regulators were Mares Ruby and Mares Abyss and love my Mares Quattro full-foot fins) so I tried to watch some product videos. Nope. The product player is ineffective at loading videos in anything that could be a reasonable time. Tried several times on different days. Waiting a full minute to get only 10 seconds of video…Mares: I obviously love the company. I even dove a (Mares designed) Dacor Viper Metal until the Ruby was gifted to me by a student, but this partnership with SSI to create an app that is not ACTUALLY useful for anyone beyond a new student is a stain on the practicality of your name. Plus… it doesn’t even spotlight your products if the product videos won’t play.

I’ve gotta say, the Apple Watch is way better than the Oceanic+! I’ve done over 300 dives with Oceanic+, and I’ve switched to Mares. It’s seriously great, you can check your heart rate both during and after the dive. Plus, the screen is better, and you can customize it even more. The design on the phone app needs to be refreshed, and ability to have more GF parameters and would be perfect! Great, I recommend!

App is alright basic expected stats a little bit too engineering oriented instead of amateur friendly
