Pretty good overall

Annoyed with Earnest App
The app functions well overall showing both consumption and production. Something that I dislike is the fact that production is only displayed on a monthly basis while consumption can be broken down by the hour, day, or week and I wish you could do this for production. I also wish there were an overlay to see production versus consumption on the same screen. Also, my billing period with the power company doesn’t fall on the first or end of the month so I wish you could align the production and consumption reading with your billing period.

Please ensure the next update breaks down production and usage into the same groups. Don’t play games like this so we have do make the effort to create a spreadsheet to compare 1:1. In fact you should have a third view that shows you variance via the same groupings. So we always know where we stand in comparison and you could even provide monthly reports so we can ensure we are getting the correct bill or refund payment from our utility company. Please make these updates a priority. It will be another great selling point for your sales reps.

Please ensure the next update breaks down production and usage into the same groups. Don’t play games like this so we have do make the effort to create a spreadsheet to compare 1:1. In fact you should have a third view that shows you variance via the same groupings. The app worked well enough for tracking project progress, but that seems like 70% of the apps function, even though the app will mostly be used once the project has been completed. As far as tracking electric usage and solar generated, it is pretty bare-bones. They provide the most basic functionality, and that’s about it. I wish it was possible to merge with a third party monitoring app or they would improve tracking metrics or dashboard. A little improvement would go a really long way.

With these new updates the app has improved so much. The project tracker made it easy to know what stage the project was currently sitting at and gave me peace of mind knowing it was moving forward. With the new production and usage graph I’m able to see what my solar system is producing and gives me a great visual of the system working properly. Happy to know Everlight is always improving their products for the end users. Happy to have gone with Everlight!
