The Green button leveled up! The new Rainbow button now places green, blue, and even those tricky yellow/orange letters when they’ve got nowhere else to hide.

Players can now play 5-6 letter Dutch words in addition to the 3-8 letter English and 4-5 letter Spanish words.

Added confirmation popup when using the HINTS button to prevent accidental hint requests.

Prime number games now have access to HINTS. When HINTS is active, the find hints algorithm will always be called, so the soft Hints button is no longer needed. When playing any word type game, players will have the option to use a four row alpha keyboard instead of the standard QWERTY keyboard. The keys on the keyboard will be 25% larger, reducing the chance of clicking the wrong key when entering your guess.

Expanded the valid word list for the 4 and 5 letter Spanish word games.

Genius word games were added in addition to the English and Spanish word games. This will be a 4 and 5-letter English word game for people that have a large vocabulary and want an extra challenge because it will include all 4 and 5-letter words where the regular English games only contain common words. Even if you only have an average vocabulary, you might want to play because at the end you are given the definition of the answer, so you have the opportunity to learn a new word each day. A soft HINTS button was added that only builds the HINTS list and does not select a word from the list. This is available when Hints is active and the HINTS list has not been created because an unfinished game has been selected or Hints was not active when previous guesses were entered. When a player uses HINTS to get a guess to use, the definition will be displayed for the given hint word selected. This will only be for regular and genius English word games and when the Show Definition feature is turned on.

On the HOW TO PLAY screen the description of the Green Button was corrected. It gave the description of the Clear Button by mistake.

HINTS has been added to the English and Spanish word games. When this feature is active, after each guess entry, the number of available words left that meet all the color hints uncovered from all the previous guesses will be displayed. A new button will be displayed letting the player have one of the available words selected when the player is stuck trying to make a valid guess. When this button is used, the guess will be marked, resulting in no star being assigned to the final score. A new game option is added to indicate whether a player wishes to have the star status displayed next to each guess. Currently, this status is only displayed when Smart Mode is being used for the game.

A fix was made to the game setting database for brand-new users that saved changes to their game settings while playing the game their first time.

Fixed bug in Erudition Challenge where it would not accept a 3 to 8 letter English word because of adding definitions to the list of valid words. Validation should only look for the word and not the attached definition.

When a guess is made that is not a valid word, an exclamation warning mark will be attached to the guess. This will result in no star being attached to the final score because a perfect game has not been played.

Dates are displayed in Spanish when user selects the Español radio button and does not check the English Translation check box. Otherwise dates will remain in English.

Players can now play 4-5 letter Spanish words in addition to the 3-8 letter English words. These two new game types can be selected on the Game Type Preference screen. Just select the Español radio button at the top and you will then have the option to select 4-5 letter Spanish words. You can also check the box for English Translation. This is for individuals that are learning Spanish. For those individuals, the English translation will be given at the end of a game.

When a word game is completed, the definition of the mystery word will be displayed underneath the game score. This new feature is optional and can be turned on or off on the Game Type Preference screen. The definition displayed is from the CSW (Collins Scrabble Words) dictionary, which is the official Scrabble tournament word list. This is the same list to determine whether a guess is a valid word. The previous and next day buttons were replaced with a calendar button. This button will give you a list of all the available game dates to make it easier to access a specific date. Along with showing the available dates, the score will be shown next to each date that has been completed.

Erudition now checks each guess to see if any color hints are violated. When a game is completed and no color hints are violated, a gold star will be attached to your score indicating a perfect game was played. This gold star will also be shown when sharing your results with others. Now, not only can you share how many guesses it took to find the mystery answer but, also that you did not make any color hint mistakes when attempting to find the mystery answer. Examples of color hint violations are shown on the information sheet under the "Smart Mode Error Examples".

Smart Mode was enhanced for blue and orange hints. All color hints must be utilized for subsequent guesses when this option is selected. Extra examples were added to the information page to illustrate how these hints could be violated.

Virtual game for two players has been added to the game options. You no longer have to play just a solitaire game but can challenge a virtual game against a friend to see who is able to find the mystery answer in the fewest guesses. A virtual game can be initiated for any of the 21 possible game types.

Two up-date changes Erudition: -The new Populate 1st Guess option is added to the Game Type Preference screen. Selecting this option results in the 1st guess being populated with the 1st guess used in your most recent completed game. You must still hit the submit button to enter this guess. This feature is for individuals that use the same starting guess each time they play. -The Statistics screen now has the option to view the dates/scores for all your completed games and gives you the option to download, to, share with others or add to a spreadsheet.

Two up-date changes Erudition: -Keep your guesses/strategies private by blacking out your color hints before sharing your games with others. Touch the cells to highlight. All highlighted cells will have the color black displayed when sharing instead of the assigned cell color. -The new Smart Mode option is added to the Game Type Preference screen. Selecting this mode prevents you from forgetting to use correct clues that you've already guessed. This option can be turned off or on during any current game. Examples: Have a cell that is green or blue? Then the letter/number entered in that cell must be entered in the next guess in that location. If you don't do this, the cell will turn red. Have a cell that is yellow or orange? Then this letter/number must be used in subsequent guesses, just not in the same location. If you don't include the letter/number, the cells turn cyan blue. If you include the letter/number, but it is in the incorrect place, the cell will turn red. Have a cell that is gray? Then the letter/number entered in that cell cannot be used in any subsequent guesses. If you do this, the cell will turn red.

Now uses CSW dictionary for word validation instead of the TWL dictionary. A more efficient algorithm is being used for finding the next available date when selecting a new game type. This should remove any lag time when switching to a new game type. A more efficient algorithm is being used for finding the date ranges for both the max and current streaks. The keyboard buttons were changed so that when Button Shapes are turned on in the iPhone settings the size of the keyboard buttons will not be affected. The Green Button only becomes active when a previous guess results in a green tile. Until then the button will be colored red.

New item has been added to the statistics screen. After 10 games have been completed the statistics page will now show the game average score for the latest 10 games. This is in addition to the overall average score. This will show individuals how they have improved for their most recent games played. The calculations for latest available game and date ranges for current and max streak are now only being done on a as needed bases. This will increase the game speed for individuals that have completed a large number of games.
