The accessibility and customization is astounding (whether for necessity or just preference) including anywhere from difficulty to color to even fonts—and not all are just presets. You could take the calming atmosphere and make it simply chaotic if you'd like. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘀 (𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹, 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰, 𝗨𝗦). Learning about our very real and just as magical world is sorely needed in the gaming atmosphere where fantasy creatures often dominate. Your encouraged to look through all the customizations by offering easter eggs throughout the settings menus that'll unlock more puzzles, a one time fairly reasonably priced purchase will get you all the puzzles available, with easter egg and the 5 intro puzzles being for free, and 20% of the proceeds going to charity. Credits and sources are also provided, all freely explorable and available to the user as well.Another gripe I have is that if you really wanted to, you could just randomly move about pieces and chance will have you locking together quite a bit of them, you can almost complete a puzzle by just fiddling with the screen. Maybe if there was some kind of double tap to fully set a piece or a timer that indicates when the user has moved pieces around too quickly to stop the auto matching. An option for something like these somewhere in the settings to aid in the challenge for those who want it would be useful.More content is in the works and I'm here for it!

Lately, I have been having a hard time concentrating on anything due to headaches that are never ending. I was looking on the App Store, trying to find something I could easily do to keep myself busy that was accessible, easy, educational, and mostly free. Because I’m visually impaired I was thrilled when I saw this under the accessibility category, and even more thrilled when I downloaded and opened the app and found that the developer was true to their word. I’ve seen a lot of apps that fall under the accessible category and when I open them, they’re either not accessible or their extremely hard to use. Some of them just freeze up on me, but not this. I absolutely love it and I could do this for hours and never get bored of it. I believe this was definitely worth paying $10 for unlimited access

Beautiful Brushes, Bogus Beasts: My Kongamato Complaint

“Stunning visuals and buttery-smooth interactions – this app is a genuine delight for anyone who loves painting their way through the animal kingdom. The artwork pops, the puzzles are clever, and I’ve lost more hours than I care to admit making digital masterpieces of majestic beasts.”“However… I have to file a formal complaint with the Fauna Police. While I’m happily painting realistic elephants and coral reef fish, I suddenly run into a ‘creature’ that looks suspiciously like it flew straight out of a Zambian campfire story. Yes, I’m looking at you, Kongamato – proud breaker of boats and breaker of my educational dreams.If the goal is to teach users about real animal species and their habitats, sneaking in folklore cryptids feels like discovering a unicorn in the African savanna section. One minute I’m learning about actual biodiversity, the next I’m painting what is essentially a pterosaur cosplaying as a swamp monster. It’s like going to a science museum only to find Bigfoot doing interpretive dance in the mammal exhibit.Please keep the mythical beasts in the fantasy apps and let this beautiful tool stay grounded in reality. My inner biology nerd (and apparently my inner cryptozoology skeptic) would greatly appreciate it. Otherwise, fantastic work – just minus one star for the fictional fauna infiltration. 🦇”Thank you!

Hi!Well, this is a bit of what I feared when introducing the Cryptozoology package. There are three puzzles, the Kongamato is the less obvious one, but the Jackalope and Nessie are a bit more on the nose.These puzzles were added earlier this year as an April Fools joke. I had a bit of marketing around it, pretending these were real creatures, but then revealed in the app on April 2nd that they were in fact fictional, cryptozoological beings. You'll still get that message after finishing the Nessie puzzle.Now, my biggest mistake here was that I haven't yet updated the texts to make it immediately clear that the Kongamato and the rest are fictional creatures. The puzzle set itself also needs a proper description explaining what cryptozoology is and why this package exists. That's on me, and I'll be fixing it.That said, I do believe there's real value in keeping these puzzles, and not just because people found them entertaining. Understanding that certain creatures don't exist is part of understanding the natural world. And they are still deeply rooted in certain cultures and imageries, that people might think they are real creatures. After seeing its drawing, a friend of mine actually thought the Jackalope was an extinct mammal from the age of dinosaurs. So teaching people about these creatures and making it clear that they don’t exist can be helpful. But for that to work, the app has to be upfront about it, and right now it isn't. So I'll be updating the descriptions to make the context clear from the start.Thank you for the kind words and the thoughtful and the feedback, it's really helpful. Dear lovely people, This is a tiny update that: - Allows you to remove the border from the widget again - Makes the small widgets look nicer in Clear mode again - Temporarily removes the new mechanic of splitting your large pieces. This was an attempt to fix unsolvable situations, but it had too many side effects. I need to refine it before releasing it again. Thanks for playing! Klemens
