Yata 4.3 is packed with even more features to make it easier than ever to find what you meed and plan your day. ======== Quick Find ======== Searching in Yata is now more powerful than ever. Quick Find provides full-text search across your entire database, including lists, projects, contexts, actions, captures and even your calendar events. Find what you’re looking for quickly and jump straight to it in a single tap! Quick Find can be accessed through the search bar in Home, or Control + F on platforms that support keyboards. =========== Planning Mode =========== Planning Mode is a lightweight way to view your calendar and lists side-by-side. Previously, this was only possible by opening a new window, and impossible on platforms that do not support multiple windows like iPhone. Planning Mode makes it easier than ever to manage your schedule or practise time-blocking. Drag and drop next actions directly onto your calendar, or process your Inbox for tickler items by setting reminders with a single gesture. To try out Planning Mode, simply navigate to the Calendar, and select the (…) toolbar icon in the upper right corner. Note: Planning Mode is not supported on iOS 17, and is unavailable on macOS. Users of the Mac app can continue opening a separate window to achieve a similar effect.

- Fixed a crash when navigating to the Upcoming list that was affecting some users.

- Fixed a regression in the Add and Edit Apple Shortcuts actions, which did not work unless attachments were provided. - Fixed some UI glitches when editing the notes of an Action or Capture that spanned several (10+) lines.

================ Shortcuts Integration ================ Yata 4.2 builds on its existing support for Apple shortcuts, now allowing users to query, add and delete attachments.  These actions open up possibilities for new workflows, such as the example "Capture with Voice" shortcut (see https://www.yata-gtd.com/User-Guide/Using-Apple-Shortcuts) that records audio, transcribes it, and captures both the audio and transcript into Yata.  In this way, even if the transcription is not optimal, the audio remains available as an attachment for manual inspection.  ======================== Project Next Actions Suggestions ======================== In true GTD style, a Project list should contain very few (if not one) next actions, with subsequent parts of the plan stored as support material. To support this use case, Yata 4.2 will automatically detect next actions stored in a Project’s notes (prefixed with "- [ ] " to denote a checkbox), and suggests them to you when the Project list is empty.  To learn more about this feature, just try creating a new Project!

- Added 2 new watchOS complications. These are available on certain watch faces like Infograph, which allow for a large circular complication in the center, and also a small complication at the corners of the watch face.

- Added the ability to redeem offer codes within the app itself.

- Improved the UX of the Up Next widget on Apple Watch. Previously, the page dots were extremely hard to select. - Improved the smoothness of the deep-linking flow - Fixed a bug where newly created lists and contexts were not added to the top. - An attempted fix to an extremely pesky bug...

- Prompt certain affected users for logs to help investigate a really sneaky bug...

- Fixed intermittent crashes in the Calendar and Routines screens that was affecting some users. - Fixed a bug in the Upcoming list where events and actions that spanned multiple days were only displaying in the section corresponding to their start date. - Fixed a bug causing the ordering of contexts in the quick switcher to appear unstable. - Fixed a bug causing the Next Actions list to occasionally scroll to the top unprompted. - Fixed a bug with the “Contextual Quick Add” setting not taking effect.

Shared Lists ========= In Yata 4.1, working together has never been easier. Now, you can share lists with friends, family, or teammates and collaborate on common goals, whilst maintaining the privacy and security of your data thanks to iCloud. Your shared data is only available to you and people you choose to share it with. To get started, make sure everyone you want to participate in the shared lists have updated to the latest version of Yata. Initiate a share on iPhone and iPad by navigating to the chosen list, and selecting the “share” button in the trailing edge of the toolbar. While the Mac, Apple Watch, and Vision Pro apps fully support participating in shared lists, starting a shared list is currently limited to iPhone and iPad.
