The most significant problem is that this app seems thinly populated in the US. Many of the profiles aren’t Jewish (obvious articles of other faiths in their profile photos), and it makes me skeptical of most of the rest. The functionality is heavily restricted for non paying members, but because I ran out of all potential matches in a few dozen swipes, I wouldn’t even be tempted. (For reference, my specifications have a 300 mile distance range— the largest it goes without being unlimited— an 8 year age range, and most religious observances included, and I live near two major US cities. Not so restrictive.) Besides this, the algorithm needs work. My preferences for location and otherwise seem to just be suggestions, as the app keeps recommending me people incredibly far away and allowing people I am not compatible with to match with me, after I’ve exhausted all available options from my end.Kosher preferences are tailored to Israeli terms (eg, mehadrin, rabbanut) and not US terms (kosher kitchen?/eats out _). There’s also limited profile information to actually learn about a person.I look forward to future iterations of this app with better security, better profile configurations, and more users. So I figured I’d start a family now. When my friend sent me a link to this app i thought I’ll try, buy the three months, date a little. So I did link with one guy, but way too many of the “hot looking guys” were too perfect and then when they did communicate with you, they never wanted to video. Just a phone call and they sound like from Africa and India. Shortly after calling one my socials were hacked leading me to believe they used my phone number to do that. So I stopped with the app. I go to delete my account, super easy. Here it is two weeks later and they tried to charged my card after I deleted my profile! I felt scammed at the end of it all. Just go to different shuls. I found a man there.
