The Safer Walking app has been designed to give vulnerable individuals the security and the freedom to walk outside independently. When used with a registered Safer Walking GPS Locator, the app provides carers and family members with live tracking and notifications of their loved one’s location, as well as a full month’s route history, and two-way voice calls via the SOS button on the Locator. Each Locator can be tracked by up to 5 users linked via the app. As a carer using the Safer Walking app, you’ll also be able to set safe zones so you can receive alerts when the person wearing the Locator enters or exits a zone. We’ll also send you low battery alerts so you can rest assured that the data you are seeing in your app is up to date at all times.

A fresh new look, with an updated app icon, logo and colours. Push notifications now register correctly, so device alerts reach you reliably. Setting up a device is simpler - you're taken straight to device setup after signing in, with sensible defaults and no unexpected prompts along the way. Clearer maps: improved device and location markers, a better view when adding a zone, and the map now centres on your device. A smoother sign-up, with clearer messages if something goes wrong or a device has already been registered. Various fixes and polish, including the events screen layout and the password field on sign-up.
