WattsConnected is a menu bar app that displays the wattage supplied by USB-C and MagSafe chargers — and now tells you when it's your cable, not your charger, holding you back.
Many modern USB-C chargers have multiple ports that dynamically change the wattage output based on the number of devices connected to the charger. And even the right charger can be capped by the wrong cable — some USB-C cables max out at 60W even when plugged into a 96W or 140W charger, with no way to tell just by looking at it.

Exactly what I wanted

As someone who often travels and uses various chargers and cables, I would often use System Information or ‘pmset -g ac’ from the Terminal to see the current wattage. It tells me (1) the wattage available and (2) exactly how much the system is currently using, and does so in an unobtrusive and clear way.

This app really helps you to figure out where your power is being used. I used to always wonder why my laptop would charge fast sometimes and slowly others. With this app I can see exactly how much power I am getting and unplug other devices as needed.
Simple but effective

I was using a 96W charger but my Mac was charging slow. This app showed I was only getting 60W from the power adapter. I swithed to a different cable and then got the full 96W. Some cables can only supply 60W but there is no way to tell just by looking at them.
