Description

Available exclusively for Netflix members.

Revitalize a barren wasteland. Plant sprawling forests, purify soil and clean polluted oceans to turn a ravaged environment into an ecological paradise.

Transform a lifeless landscape into a thriving, vibrant ecosystem. Turn dead soil into fertile grassland and create the ideal habitat for animals to call home. Then recycle your buildings and leave no trace that you were there.

Features:

• Dive into a reverse city builder: Use advanced eco-technology to purify the soil, creating plains, wetlands, beaches, rainforests, wildflowers and more — then efficiently recycle everything you've built, leaving the environment pristine for its new animal inhabitants.
• Explore different maps every time: Procedurally generated landscapes mean no two play-throughs will ever be the same. Plan your build around randomized, challenging and unpredictable terrain, including snaking rivers, mountains, lowlands and oceans.
• Experience tranquility: Lush hand-painted environments, relaxing music and an atmospheric ambient soundscape make this game a peaceful, meditative experience. When you're done, use Appreciate mode to bask in the natural beauty of the ecosystem you have restored.

Cool Concept, Frustrating execution

Let me start off by first saying I havent played this game. Why you might ask? Because I dont have a netflix account. Now why would someone ever want to buy a subscription for a (now) rather lack luster streaming service for the combination of game and streaming? Most wouldnt I would assume, if they dont already have an account.
Now whats especially interesting is the other side of things, now you have a game which is just sorta a byproduct of your streaming service. It seems like it would make more sense to have it be a promotional thing for people who have accounts to not pay. Let general use be allowed, even for a short trial period, and then have to pay for it. Thats fine. Both ways you get your money. Its just odd in my opinion to close out a portion of potential users just for a promotional thing that I also think wont work.

Fun, but Glitchy

This game is marvelously addicting. So far I’ve done the entire play through several times, once on the hardest mode.

The game however still is very buggy, where there are times that the animals don’t show up even though everything they needed was checked off, or menus open when they aren’t pressed.

I also wish there were more biomes and levels to explore, as the game play through only has four biomes/levels and only one bonus map level per biome once the main game is completed. It would be much more fun to have more bonus level maps of varying difficulty and more biomes. There’s already Temperate, Tropical Island, Polar/Arctic, and tropical cityscape. Would be interesting to have things like a desert biome, a completely marine level like an abyss, and subtropical biomes, or even a subterranean level.

Clever and fun, but has a lot of bugs

This is quite possibly the most innovative game I have played. I absolutely loved the gameplay and the increasing levels of difficulty with each biome as the game progressed. That being said, flaws in the game coding made gameplay quite frustrating at times. In the final level, when I was collecting seeds, the satellite interface would randomly exit, dumping me back into the main screen and exiting the biome I was collecting from. The location of the interface buttons also have entirely too much overlap, meaning that sometimes I was unable to scroll because the directional arrows were directly underneath the main game menu. The in-game help was also less than useful at times, requiring me to exit the game and do an internet search to solve my problems. Honestly, if they took the time to fix the GUI, in-game guide, and coding issues, this game would deserve 5 stars.

Pros:
— innovative
— engaging
— challenging
— extremely fun

Cons:
— badly designed GUI with too much overlap of clipping paths
— poorly coded interface
— errors made gameplay extremely frustrating at times
— needs an update to address coding errors
