SUBSCRIPTION PRICING & TERMS
- Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account as soon as you confirm your purchase while using Universal TV Remote Control App.
- You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal from your Account Settings after the purchase.
- Subscriptions will renew automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal cost will be charged to your account 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- When the subscription is canceled, it will stay active until the end of the period. Auto-renewal will be disabled, but the current subscription will not be refunded.
- If offered, any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

So happy I finally found a good remote control app. I need an app that lets me connect to multiple TVs in our home. I need it to have keyboard input. I need it to just work. It does all that and more. Try it out free with ads and if you like it, pay the $40 for lifetime, it’s worth it. I hate subscriptions and won’t do them, so I appreciate the lifetime option and I think $40 is reasonable.I see people complaining about ads, stop it. Nothing in this world is free. If you want to use the app without paying, then the ads subsidize what you are “not paying” for. Developers are not spending hours and hours making stuff just for you out of the goodness of their hearts. Pay them for their work.

Beware of free trial…

So does $364/year at the default Weekly rate after a 3 day trial sound remotely reasonable to you for a digital remote - pretty disgusting. Didn’t know/forgot this App was on my phone starting in early August - let alone charging an absolutely ridiculous $6.99 per WEEK!! Assume I clicked on a free trial… the price is what is aggravating. Lucky I checked my subscriptions today & cancelled it. They still got me for 4 weeks of charges. For that cost… I should own it now. In my opinion, this can certainly look like preying on free trial candidates - just look at the default weekly pricing model - it doesn’t make any sense AT ALL vs annual cost. Ask yourself why?? $4/month is MAX it should be - but then I would have caught it before the 2nd month and only lost $4… not $28. Think about why there is default weekly pricing after free trials… there is just one reason, to take advantage of people. No App like this is worth $7 per week ($28/month)… especially when I already have a remote through Apple for my Apple TVs. Apple - you could make it even easier for your customers by just sending a push message directly to my device anytime a payment is about to be charged - sending to email is not a great warning system. Seems too obvious. If it just popped up on my phone I would have cancelled it before the 1st charge. Otherwise it is a passive system of going to settings (or checking emails) and checking subscriptions. So took a few weeks for me to catch it.

I pay $6.99/week for a tv remote app that works but is so troubling and has so many issues. First, I will admit it works when you do not have a working remote for your TV, however; this app does not stay connected to my tv. It constantly disconnects while using it, even after a couple clicks. Second, if you turn your phone off or leave the app running in the background, you will have to fully refresh the app just to reconnect. It also constantly tells me it can’t find my TV after being fully connected. I hate it. I hate this app, but unfortunately need it. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 only because it technically does what it’s supposed to, but at the cost of your sanity. As I sit here and right this review, I don’t even know why I still pay for it and use it. I’m going to delete my subscription and delete this app forever because of how annoying it is. How can something so simple have so many issues? Please fix this app. Or don’t. I am sick of it and deleting it.

Have Samsung tv with DIRECTV, and allllll the streaming apps imaginable. The remote for dtv is SO loud I can’t watch anything at night because it wakes my husband up. If the Samsung remote is lodged under the covers or I can’t get to at night I’m s.o.l. I’ve tried at least 10 remote apps and this is not only the best but the only one that consistently works. I don’t have to re-pair to use every night, a process that requires the remote. Highly recommend. I did buy full version.
