Effortlessly calculate hydropower potential and find the perfect turbine match with TurbineMatch, your ultimate hydropower companion.
TurbineMatch is the go-to app for hydropower professionals, engineers, and enthusiasts. Whether designing a hydropower plant or evaluating energy potential, TurbineMatch simplifies the process with precision calculations and turbine recommendations.
Key Features:
Power Output Calculation: Accurately estimate the maximal power output based on your input parameters.
Annual Energy Projection: Determine yearly energy generation based on full-operation conditions.
Turbine Recommendation: Discover the most suitable turbine type, plotted on a visual diagram for clarity.
User-Friendly Interface: Input values like head (m), discharge (m³/s), and efficiency, and let the app do the rest.
How to Use:
Enter Parameters:
Net Head: Input in meters.
Nominal Discharge: Input in cubic meters per second.
Efficiency: Choose turbine efficiency for standalone setups or total system efficiency for energy production calculations.
Visualize Results:
View your input plotted in a turbine suitability diagram to identify compatible turbines like Francis, Kaplan, or others.
Get Detailed Output:
Calculate maximal power output (MW) and projected annual energy generation (GWh) for a defined number of operational days.
